This game always reminds me of the news that we got a date to take Herb Jr. home from the hospital. It’s a long story, but Herb spent his first few months in the ICU was listed for a liver transplant after he was born. We applied to use a non-FDA drug that is now standard procedure, but we were guinea pigs for it. We knew it was working and he had been getting healthier all October. Our girls were only 4 and 6, so my wife and I would alternate days at the hospital. My wife got approval to take him home NYD if he met weight goals. I was at a park with the girls when I got the news, so we went to watch the second half of this game and grab dinner to celebrate.

I always think 2005 was the team as well. Lost to Texas and Penn State teams that finished 1 and 3 because we struggled on offense. Found the offense mid season and closed putting up 600 yards on ND.
