Eh, I want to blame the defense for not getting a stop when we need it, but they’ve been doing it all game. at some point we have to blame the offensive genius, Ryan Day.
I'm still happy about that. We would be in the exact same position at this time next year with McCord.
Not blaming the defense for this loss. It's just, in the last two years against good teams, when a team finds a leak it seemingly always turns into a flood.
lol what an insane rams. No qb on this roster is worth a shit. The problem is not getting a proven guy in the portal
Kyle McCord starts the whole season and goes 11-1 and “we would be in the same situation”. Sometimes we just need to really step back
Fleming and Frye need to find their own way home. Day needs to gut large portions of this staff and inject ruthless aggression and testosterone into the program
I don't blame Frye too much for this game. Missouri knew we were running most of the game. Hard to block a defense with any OL when they are packing the box.
the offensive line sucks. i don't have any idea why vimahi is still on scholarship. i have even less of an idea as to why he got the start tonight. the right side of the line completely cratered the gameplan, whatever that was. got brown hurt. sabotaged the running game. awful.
His defense has given up 14 points to a top 10 team and have been on the field for most of the game because the offense is completely incompetent. I'm not a Coach Grandpa guy, but I think having to basically play a walk on at QB is the reason we lost this game.
Missouri averaged 34 points a game and over 400 yards. It’s the end of the 4th and they have 14 points and under 300 yards. Our offense has had 1 sustained drive since the start of the second quarter and is playing a true freshman QB. There’s plenty to be worried about but the defense, and this offensive performance are not really at the top of the list IMO
Not sure how the OL has regressed in bowl practice and we haven’t made a change at RG the entire game when it’s clearly not working. Need 3-4 transfers in the offseason on the OL alone.
McCord was never going to win anything here. We didn't win 11 games because of him. We won that many because of the talent around him and the fact that the B1G sucks. I'd rather go into a season with at least a sliver of hope that we have a chance to compete for a title.
Right. Read what I said again. I'm not blaming this loss on the defense. They played good. What I am saying is, against good teams the last two years, when our defense gets figured out a little, they tend to unravel.
Outside of Parker Fleming, this is completely wrong He’s been at least as ruthless as Urban. Urban quit instead of firing his best man
I didn't have a lot of confidence in Brown to begin with but after he goes out it's pretty clear we needed to lean on the run game. The OL and Henderson are just not good
All 3 QBs we've seen play this year have shit mechanics. Being coached up by Urban Meyers son-in-law.
Huh…. oh yes, Marvin Harrison is a replacement level player. Also, I forgot that we played a top 10 team every week of the season as well. All things are equal though
Buddy. I don't think any of the QBs on this team are any good, but the OL made sure the 2 backups didn't have a chance either. I know Kyle is definitely not the answer though so I don't see the point of wanting him to stick around.
I will always like you for saying congratulations to me when I had my son back when no one would acknowledge you because Farva had everyone hate you. But fuck off.
At the very least, I hope this provides an easy avenue for Day to make the appropriate changes. Clear out some coaches, be aggressive in the portal. There’s no reason to not at this point.
Again, I'm not a Coach Grandpa guy. He sucks when it matters. Tonight is not one of those nights. It's fucking silly to complain the effort defensively...no one is beating a top 10 team 3-0.
