Tbh I preferred the drama of last year when II was keeping me up to date on Mrs. Bowen’s latest twitter likes
Feel like walking into a kids living room while recruiting and being able to say " I was in the SEC, was the highest paid guy at my position in the country, had the latest Heisman winner, and STILL chose to come back here" is one hell of a pitch
Last year I was walking along the beaches of Hawaii, staring at the vastness of the Pacific Ocean... trying to pull up a stream to watch the Peyton Bowen live conference on twitter when he switched to Oregon, ruining the start of my day Committed to myself that was the last high school recruit I ever care about at that point
I hope there is a little more drama next year and freeman doesn’t fall into the same trap all nd coaches do
Man Purdue and Louisville both are really turning their rosters over- holy shit: https://247sports.com/college/purdue/Season/2024-Football/Commits/ https://247sports.com/college/louisville/Season/2024-Football/Commits/ Both those games just way harder
Louisville’s transfers are much much better than Purdue’s Purdue is hoping to go 6-6, Louisville is probably a 8-4 type team either way those will be solid games for ND
I’ll wait and see how the schedule plays out when it comes to Louisville. Had they been done a solid and scheduled it after the bye instead of before, I doubt that game turns out the same, but it was nice learning in real time that Sam wasn’t it during that game.
Two odd recruits for ND this cycle: Seems like the odd stuff is continuing here, one unsigned, one flipped from ND to Duke to Washington? lol
guilty as charged but to be fair, i had not seen him get beat once the year before and i was in utter shock to see it happen this year i might have overreacted a little bit
Don’t think Mencke ever committed to ND. IIRC the staff got butthurt that he wanted to visit Duke and stopped recruiting him.
That kid is not understanding, very sad to see a kid with that talent not being able to find positives in his life. always whining, Never happy. After being a starting running back at notre dame and lsu. Maybe find something else to do.
I’d add Brandon Davis Swain to that list. Committed early, possibly pushed out, was supposed to end at Michigan but ended at Colorado.
I still do not believe it will be denbrock but that would be best case imo, the other candidates are also strong
Denbrock makes no sense unless he thinks LSU is going to be garbage and Kelly is just going to fire him as scapegoat again
One of the pods basically said he wanted the job when MF took over but Tommy was already lined up. Dude might just want to be at ND.
