If we don’t, it’s going to be pretty disappointing. It would take a very large bag and unfortunately, Kansas and Auburn play that game as well as anybody
I know today is a day of celebration…but woof our current team can’t get shit going, spotting the other team 15-20pts per game is ridiculous
Perfect time to take a season off and catch up on some hobbies and projects and come back for a manageable football schedule next year and the Dylan Ace show after that, imo.
Toure coming back. Not gonna lie, I'm impressed we've been able to keep all these guys. I was really worried for a minute.
Pierce was the one I was most worried about and happy to hear was coming back. OL, especially tackles, are a scarce commodity in the portal and he’d easily bank a 6-figure deal in the portal.
Considered flying in from CA for the game and to visit some family, but I’ve got my in-laws staying with us through new years
Will be there for Pinstripe! Is the QB from Minnesota any good? Or that just a depth/pressure Gavin type deal?
Check out the rivals board. People are swearing blood feuds and challenging each other to death matches over whose better.
They're our 2 most senior guys and they both have "ok, now it's my time to shoot" mentality. Hyatt just hoists up 3s on the 1st pass of a possession. Fern-andy's thinks he's Steph Curry and keeps it glued to his hand for a whole possession.
Top 35 class, didn't lose anybody. That's about where we should be every year. Getting top big north talent like Kaj Sanders after that fraud Nunzio got fired is very funny.
I would call it the typical Schiano class. Couple four stars with an increased focus on Florida talent.
Anybody else lay awake at night wondering what our recruiting classes would look like now if Greg never left? when he did leave, we were plucking nearly half of the NJ top 10, with a good portion of those guys coming from the big north. Of course I kid about lying awake over it, but to this day I think his leaving in 2012 was the single biggest turning point in RU football history since the day he was first hired and we decided we were going to take football more seriously. Imagine competent coaching in 2013, where we had a chance to win the conference outright even with Fudd. Or how crazy our first year in the B1G could have been, with a win against PSU (no way Greg leaves Nova in long enough to throw 5 ints or put him in a position to do it in the first place) and what would have been a double digit win season. The recruiting would have taken a bump in the right direction and already produced top 25ish recruiting classes in 2011 and 2012. It would have been glorious….
I definitely don't lay awake about it lol, but yes I do wonder. I still remember the day he left. I walked into advanced accounting with Professor Schoderbek and someone immediately blurted out "OMG Schiano is leaving." Schoderbek spent the entire rest of the class in frantic disbelief. I spend more time awake at night realizing that I had to take advanced accounting in fucking Beck Hall while every business major since I graduated has been able to use a state of the art building. F off.
Making me feel older than I already am over here. I remember I was at work and my son of a bitch co-worker/Miami alum IM’d Greg was leaving. At first I thought he was full of shit. Then the texts started rolling in…not a good day. Nearly flipped over that same work desk two years later watching Savon Huggins commit, so I have mixed feelings/memories about my former place of employment.
Of course we can’t have nice things for more than 48 hours. Wtf was that shit? I mean we won, but in the most disgusting fashion ever.
Aye. This is 100% with rose-colored glasses, but I'm super stoked about next year's defense. The amount of experience on this unit is kinda nutty. DE: Lewis DT: Hamilton DT: Ray DE: Bailey LB: Toure LB: Powell LB/NB: Walker/Igbinosun CB: Longerbeam S: Loyal S: Dixon CB: Rogers - probably the weakest link
