What's your best guess for how a game against Texas would play out? Texas Offense v Alabama Defense -They were able to run the ball pretty effectively at times up the middle against us in Round 1 (they only average 2.8 yards per rush but I think that's a bit deceiving) . I don't think they'll be able to do that again. I do think Sark will dial up some zone read stuff based off the Auburn script . Not sure how we'll respond to that. -Alabama has had issues with safety busts at times this year. It happened against Worthy and in multiple other plays during Round 1 v Texas. Can't allow this to happen -Their TE killed us in the middle of the field. -We did not pressure Ewers well at all in the first game. Must do a much better job this time. And I think we will. We've been able to get pressure in pretty much all the subsequent games. Texas Defense v Alabama Offense -They have one of the best interior DL /DT tandems in the country. Seth blows. So expect them to get pressure up the middle. -I'm less worried about their edge rushers as our tackles are now playing at a much higher level. -They terrorized Jalen and pressured him all night. The OL has improved substantially. I think Jalen will have more time and will be more composed. I think we'll score more points and this will be a much more difficult game for Texas. -I don't expect Jalen to have multiple critical turnovers like he did on Sept 9th. We had 10 penalties against Texas and I don't think we'll do that again. We are playing much for disciplined now than earlier in this season and especially compared to last year.
It was, but some of it probably due to UGA’s lack of speed off the edge. Does Michigan have any explosive edge guys?
I love the Jimmy Stein/Luke Robinson On3 podcast. I’m also jealous how Luke always has free tickets fall into his lap.
Ewers is tough to get pressure on because the scheme lets him get the ball out extremely fast. Sarks scheme is always with quick decisions and a QB who can deliver the ball fast.
Check-in after 12 starts for Milroe: 171/261, 65%, 2718 yards, 23 TD, 6 INT 140 rushing attempts, 468 yards, 12 rushing TD obviously the 38 sacks has hurt Milroe’s rushing numbers.
I don’t think it’s fair that sacks count against rushing stats in college but not in the nfl. Jalen had 39 yards on the final drive to put the SECCG away and finished with ten less on the stat sheet smh
My hope is that we can coach that out of him. It seemed like we made progress on it over the bye that showed against LSU, but he regresses a bit at Auburn and in Atlanta until late in the game. I think we’ll see it much more against Michigan.
I'm just saying that's a ton of yards for a guy always looking to pass. Hurts was a better and more willing runner and never hit 1000 rushing at bama.
having Kadyn proctor not suck shit like he did for the first half of this year will probably do wonders for his sack numbers.
If Saban was going to retire after this season would he still be recruiting his ass off? I guess you wouldn't just stop or transition that over because it would create a panic amongst your recruits.
is Auburn just buying their way through the top 10 AL in state ? Or are they selling these elite WRs on Freeze's system?
no clue who that is . Had to look him up. Question : Why the hell does on3 include ESPN's rankings in their composite rankings? ESPN's recruiting service is garbage and their rankings deviate significantly from On3, 247, and Rivals. Bolden is a 5 star according to On3, 247, and Rivals but only a 90 on ESPN. So instead of him being a 98 etc on the composite, ESPN's stupid 90 brings him down to 94 on the composite. ESPN shouldn't get a a seat at the composite table.
Lawson should at least be 2nd team linebacker. And Braswell should definitely be all SEC at least 2nd team.
Georgia has lost 11 games in the last seven seasons. Five of those are Alabama. Since 2020, they’re 48-1 against everybody else and 1-3 against us.
Seth's snaps are even shitter from above https://www.instagram.com/reel/C0aj0CStyTp/?igshid=MzRlODBiNWFlZA==
SIAP, but Read and React is excellent this week, as always. We actually beat their ass even worse than I thought. It’s a must watch
