The committee can't leave an undefeated power 5 champ out unless there are more than four. There's not. FSU will be in the playoff.
FSU deserves it but if you’re picking teams to win a national championship then FSU with a backup/3rd string QB is clearly behind Texas/Alabama/Georgia
It’s pretty obvious choice that the team who won head to head and also won their conference is much more deserving
I think those are two different arguments. Is FSU deserving? Yes. Is that what the committee will do?
Bama should not be penalized for playing a difficult non conference opponent. If they played a dog shit schedule like Michigan, they’d be in the playoff. they beat Michigan by 10+ on neutral site.
Michigan Washington Texas FSU FSU isn’t one of the four best teams without Travis, but the committee shouldn’t and won’t leave an undefeated P5 champion out.
The Committee will want to maximize TV ratings because that’s all anyone associated with the playoff cares about. The threat of everyone turning off a Florida State game mid game due to a potential blowout is unfortunately a major factor.
who cares the only thing that really matters is Fran Tarkenton was completely and utterly wrong about the Mike Norvell hire
A month to prepare is a major advantage for offenses, which is why playoff games have historically been so high scoring. And there’s plenty of precedent to show the teams that couldn’t generate offense in playoff games absolutely do get blown out (believe me, I know). So unless Florida State can find a way to score 21+, it’s likely going to get ugly. That’s just the way these games have gone.
Folks that think Alabama gets left out are insane. ESPN didn’t pay all this money for playoff/SEC rights to not get what they want.
Were Bama fans bitching when it was announced Texas was scheduled? Or leading up to the game? No, yall are bitching now cause you lost. Tough shit, I guess don’t schedule tough scary ooc games again.
