Do the people that think Rollins is unserious watch the product? The “freakin” character is even a gimmick in kayfabe. He breaks it all the time when he feels actually threatened.
Don't know if it's all a work or part work/shoot, but when Punk was on backstage Rollins said they should fight instead of Punk talking about him. Punk did this segment and it led to Seth tweeting at him non stop basically. Seth will randomly take shots since then but I don't think Punk has said anything more
I’m just so tickled that these backstage guys report like these performers don’t know how to keep it going behind the curtain.
If Punk has even a sniff of success in WWE (hard to see how he wouldn't) TK will spend a stupid amount of millions to steal a main eventer or two (not a semi retiree like Edge) from WWE
No. And frankly no two women at one time have deserved it. Maybe if Mercedes Mone comes in and Toni Storm’s character is still cooking. But that Athena-Willow match in ROH was great. From what little I’ve watched and the clips/commentary I’ve read, TK has done a really good job with Athena down in ROH.
You can go back though my posts (which I know you are good at) and see if I’ve ever been a piler on of Metzel.
This thing with him and Seth was always the plan, whether it was now or two years from now. Pink was always coming back to WWE. They always do.
He’s close to midcard purgatory. He hasn’t really been in some red hot long term program, but still kills it. Get him in the fucking main event scene already.
lol what? The dude that’s currently in the middle of the longest intercontinental title run ever? Midcard purgatory? You guys are ridiculous sometimes. They are pushing him more than ever
Punk vs Rollins would be a good WM match. Potential main eventer for night 1 if it has the most heat behind it. Orton is a wildcard imo, but entering a feud with Judgement Day makes sense. Maybe culminate with a WHC match with Damian Priest at WM if they ever decide to have him cash-in. Would love for Punk to be the reason that Rollins loses the cash-in to build more heat to their angle.
I’m surprised they ran a house show in the Chicago market on Sunday after running Smackdown and Survivor Series in Chicago. Also looks like NXT won’t be live this week, Cagematch has an NXT taping scheduled for today.
I think everything is always a work, but the AEW circus has proved me wrong over the last few years. That said, when was the last time someone actually went into business for themselves on WWE TV.
I think Seth is smart to the business and knew Punk would be back eventually. He probably figured it would happen when he had the deal with Fox, but he already had the groundwork laid from back then to be his first feud back now. He knew Punk first program back would be money and he wanted in on it
Only thing I can remotely think of is like 5ish years ago I remember Lesnar and Strowman took some legit shots at each other during a match because they thought they were working stiff.
I could see them doing Punk vs Rollins at the Rumble and the WM match being a triple threat or gimmick match hoping for Gunther vs Brock at WM, but if not I could see him being the 3rd man. Or maybe Sami
The Rumble makes sense. Would be a great time for a cash-in and lead to a blood feud heading into Mania.
Rumble is going to be amazing. Probably punk Rollins, i imagine a Logan Paul defense ( against La knight?), the rumbles, roman… Pretty damn excited to be there
Went last year and it ruled. The noise when Sami hit Roman with the chair… amazing. Then rumbles themselves are just fun as hell just going to keep going every year now. It’s so fun
The Rumble is such a bucket list event. Experiencing it live for the first time will likely cause it to become an annual family trip for us. I can't wait.
I went to the one in Philly when Rousey showed up and it was a pretty meh event. felt like an off year. hopefully Mania makes up for it.
