Okpara on offense was very disappointing too, not expecting miracles but not that. Dropped a few passes/loose balls and missed a 4 foot hook by 2 feet.
I don't know how people mass consume college basketball. The overwhelming majority of it is sloppy, bad basketball
Full transparency...I live bet A&M +1.5 at the 9:08 mark because I just didn't see how we were going to score enough to win against a good team down stretch. They COULD be a Tourney team. As long as Thornton stays healthy he's going to keep them as a decent team as he's an awesome floor general that is only going to rapidly improve over his Sophomore year. Things that need to happen for them to be a good team.. *Gayle needs to be an every night contributor and not just a flashy player every once in a while *Okpara is great but needs to make some more offensive strides. Zed is coming off the bench which is the smart move, but what if he gets fat again? Holtmann said he could only play 3 minute stretches last spring because he got too fat *Middleton looks extremely raw, but obviously a different athlete. Holtmann has done well with developing these types of super frosh over a season.... hopefully that happens again here but he looked overwhelmed tonight *Like Royals body. it's deeply frustrating that thinking this team could finish in the top half of a shit conference and sneak into a 68 team tournament is enough to qualify as being "super high" on them. that shouldn't be enough for holtmann to keep his job, though i'm sure it will be.
I pretty much only watch Ohio State till March. I can't really consume games that don't matter in any sport, like I couldn't care less about a Denver-Milwaukee game in November. Or like Chiefs-Eagles in week 10, who the fuck cares if you're not a fan of either team.
I find it extremely hard to care about games outside OSU. The big matchups don’t mean much in the grand scheme of things. I only tune in at the end to see teams I dislike lose, ala Duke tonight.

Nice summary. Feels like they are a year away but if Battle gets back to his 2020-22 form things could get interesting. I like Thornton and Gayle but those two as our 1-2 punch doesn't seem like enough to be a tourney team. Hopefully at least one of Middleton, Chatman, or Royal becomes a consistent contributor
I don’t think we can expect anything out of the PSU and Baylor transfer, offensively. Hopefully Thornton and Gayle are 1-2, with Battle having a vet presence, and the freshman growing into contributors. Hopefully Okpara continues to start, with Zed off the bench.
Penn State transfer(I know how to say his name but not spell it) had a solid game Terrific defender, maybe he could have helped clean up the boards better. Very limited offensively.
