I am fairly certain that cnn fudges poll numbers based on the margin of error. if the sample is +/- 5% and the results are Biden 53%, Trump 47%, they will just run a graphic that says Biden 48%, Trump 51%, +/- 5%. I am actually not fairly certain of that but it’s how it feels. They actually may just use polls that are poorly constructed so they can run with juicy chyrons like “Biden Lagging Behind Trump Surge in Latest Polls!” Because none of their audience is going to tune in to watch the news if the story every day is “Dems rule and it appears most Republican lawmakers are suffering from an array of mental illnesses”
