I'm in GA CD3. Hell, Ferguson moved right down the road from me in nowhere middle GA. It's crazy how a guy with his voting record is the object of criticism of folks even more right than him.
If all these quotes/headlines about a lot of the State Dept being bothered by how the WH is handling the Israel/Palestine situation, more people need to put their money where their mouth is and step down.
Imagine if they collect several billion then cut every family a check. Obv this probably isn't how it works, but it'd be nice for people to see how much money these evil fucks are hoarding.
Milei is going to lose the first round in the Argentina election https://resultados.gob.ar/elecciones/1/0/1/-1/-1#agrupaciones
My wife’s uncle by marriage is one of those obnoxious California conservatives from Huntington Beach who won’t stop talking politics and loves anything and everything right wing. He and his wife are in town and were at family dinner last night, and he was gushing about the thought of Milei winning this election.
Glad this is done but I hope that this didn’t include giving Turkey the fighter jets it wants. Biden admin has seemed quite willing to arm Erdogan.
By hook or by crook trumps messages get through and he has a type of charisma. Unfortunately, Biden’s voice has gotten seemingly worse and weaker sounding. This election won’t be able policy and will be driven by superficial narratives. I hope Dems are ready for that.
God Fetterman rocks so much. Huge fan of the big guy. Wish he didn't have dogshit health. He'd be a fantastic hoodie president.
Start using the bully pulpit now to attract attention to the embarrassment and anchor trump is. Idk why I have a habit of doing this, it’s like fan fiction for fuck sake, but this shit seems so easy to message (I say that with zero responsibility or obligations to its effectiveness). Biden should outright tell the public, “many heads of state tell me what buffoon the last president was. They couldn’t trust him with their wallet let alone state secrets. Trump, i call him Indictment Don. He’s in a mess of trouble. I wouldn’t want to be in that kind of trouble but many are saying he’s the most crooked president ever.”
I don’t see anyone that loses with. Annoys? But no one is not abstaining from biden because he told the truth about trump. I’d anything it gets though to the more casual, every 4 years voter.
As a non union auto worker for the last 27 years…. Big props to my UAW brothers and sisters, I love to see the unionization of America coming back in fad.
Need some fuckhead CEO to talk about how this is bad and employees need to be frightened into staying with low wage jobs instead of job hunting.
My office will be seeing a pretty substantial pay increase due to the Federal GS Location pay. My super chuddy coworker whose husband runs a tax free child care because it's associated with a church and believes homeless just need to work harder to have a home(her parents bought her family its home) just said, "Well at least that will help pay part of the grocery bill. It's gotten crazy how expensive the government has made everything" We are talking at least 8-15k per person. These people don't deserve to be apart of democracy. They base the entire economy off how much it costs to fill up their boat or buy milk. I had to walk out of the room. I hate Americans so much.
"the gov-ment made my groceries expensive" is maybe the dumbest thing anyone can say. walk into the store man, look at big company name on the outside of the store. look at the sad employees. look at all the brands inside the store. look at the cars in the parking lot. must be the government
Remember when the government cut checks to people during covid? Well that is the cause of why the price of cream has gone up $0.25 lib!
(Corporate) B.S. is pervasive, but it’s also super predictable. So Joan, Donald, and I set about trying to track and develop a compendium of the lies they’ve always used to fight progress and protect profits. The remarkable thing we discovered is that over the course of 250 years of American progress, these claims have remained exactly the same. And we spell them all out in our new book, Corporate Bullsh*t, out on Oct. 31. Whether it’s a Subway restaurant owner arguing that Seattle’s $15 minimum wage would kill jobs in 2013, Lee Laccoca calling seat belts “a complete waste of money” in 1971, or Alexander Hamilton claiming that child labor is a character-building activity for children who “would otherwise be idle” in 1791, it's always the same story. Those who profit from immoral behavior always try to make the case that any effort to control their behavior is actually an injustice for the vast majority of Americans -- including those who are being exploited. It's all bullshit of course. I’m proud of the work we did on this book – it’s a fun and easy read. It's also important: it's meant to inoculate us so we stop falling for the same old corporate lies.
Add “we are a family and need to be in the office together for enhanced collaboration” to the appendix
