was Sims not the QB he wanted? Did he not call 3 straight pass plays after running it down their throat the possession before. Procedure penalties were a killer, and had a hard time getting lined up on time. He’s the QB coach and our QB can’t throw it. I’d say he’s a pretty big problem.
I’m not going to be too worried about Satt yet. Sims is not a thrower at all. No matter what they want him to be, he ain’t. Need to adjust. 2002 Jamal lord here we come
That shit is a head scratcher. Got demoted for fumbling in camp and is in there at the end. Just unbelievable.
Only guy who can create when it’s not there. Ervin is a bruiser but he’s not going to make something out of nothing most of the time.
There is 0% chance Nebraska is/was in worse shape than the immediate fallout of post-Briles Baylor. Rhule went like 1-11 in his first year at Baylor, then won the Big 12.
Heads up guys, we’ve found Rolly’s “I’m right you’re wrong” hobby horse after one game. Tread carefully, hth
This is probably right but he would have been hurt by halftime. Probably doesn’t matter with this OL and WR core. And Whipple might be a better OC idk
I knew exactly what was going to happen because I’ve been watching the same game for years now but it’s still a punch in the fucking gut every time. Fuck.
Last year he repeatedly ran duo to the tune of 2-3 yards per carry when we would average like 6+ on counter and pin and pull concepts.
I am in the same sort of awful emotional pain I was in years ago at this shit but there’s a lot to like from this. Even if it sucks assholes. That’s the best defensive performance I’ve seen at Nebraska in years. And ST was great after being a laughing stock for like 5 years. Coaching matters.
Scoot signed 19 WR croots his last three classes. One of them was still on campus when this staff took over. So I guess I'm saying I have no fucking clue how to rank our offensive problems, as absurdly bad as they all are, but it sure doesn't seem like our staff is really squandering anything personnel wise. We just fucken suck
Hey guys long time lurker first time poster. Big fan of the show thanks for your time. Wanted to know what you thought about how the volleyball game was a distraction for the team thanks I'll listen off air.
We can’t lose to Colorado. I’m absolutely sick of Deion’s shtick. Rhule just needs to tell the oline to block better, Sims to not stare down his receiver, and the defense to give up less than 7 points. If we do all of this I think we could win
Don’t worry, Sims will quit if things go off the rails enough and y’all can see if you have any other qbs worth a shit
It’s honestly incredible how much a QB can play into the fate of a coach. Great ones make coaches tons of money. Bad ones make good coaches lose jobs
Nebraska wishes all it had to do was overcome one of the most disgusting sexual abusive cases in NCAA history. That doesn’t matter at all to FB win/losses. The powers that be don’t care. Being a bitch made team that snatched defeat from every chance of victory it ever sees does matter. They’re awful. That will never change.
yea solid response. One game, and years of being a shit coordinator. But yea let’s just ignore that and discount everything the Scar fans are even saying about him.
Also fucking sucks that I have to work tomorrow. This one hurts, breaking the cycle would’ve been so nice for the psyche of the players and fanbase. Damnit man.
Feels real familiar and bad. See what Rhule can do to head that off because this is same shit different coach
Holy fuck did our offense try their asses off to lose. It just hit me again. Just go out there and do nothing. Don't do anything at all. Put in The Haardvark at FB and dive his ass 38 tims.
I’m not saying he did inherently well, just pointing out there were bigger problems. Then there’s a many year pattern of you locking in on a take and vehemently arguing anyone who dares provide another perspective so maybe lighten up and realize other people watch and have pretty decent observations to offer.
