Grabbed a drink at the Shangrai La rooftop before dinner. Great view. Eathan Edwards I owe you one man. Elephante was buzzing. We get taken to our table which was the literal best seat in the house. Ordered a cocktail and Prosecco then we were ready to put our order in for the whipped eggplant- boom. Already being delivered to us on the house. Got a salad and squid ink pasta with crab. Tons of flavor. Gf got the specialty pizza. Couple more cocktails then we were off to LAX. Appreciate everyone with the recs in here and the hook up on the table Eathan Edwards GF was all hot and bothered thinking I was someone important with connections at elephante. She hasn’t been that impressed since we were mistakenly whisked away to a table at Sound nightclub.
So what time are we actually getting blasted with rain on Sunday? I’m flying back in to LAX from SFO at 6:30 PM on Sunday and wondering if any time Sunday is screwed or if I should move up to 1-3 PM
There will probably a lot of water runoff coming down that hill right there. Would be very dangerous.
If the event you are attending doesn't have "special house rules apply" tagged to it... you can legit bring in a picnic basket with food, bottles of win, beer, whatever you like. Find a spot in the shade outside the amphitheater or take it to your seats. They don't care.
It's the Queen of the silver camps and has arguably the most famous Clown Motel in the continental U.S.
No sir, I'll be starting at the haunted Mitzpah Yeah I'll see how it's looking tomorrow because it's not going to be great getting up the grade
Hourly for my city. Squalls, huh? I've never seen that before. Good luck to all my fellow SoCal residents.
Hearing no rain in Los Feliz, light drizzle in Santa Monica, and on our ring cameras looks like light drizzle in the South Bay Fingers crossed for my 6 pm flight into LAX, have gone back and forth between pulling, pushing, or keeping it for 36 hours
Yes, if it’s a leased event through Ticketmaster / Live Nation (I would assume the Lumineers are), it’s a typical concert. But if it’s a Hollywood Bowl show (typically sponsored by KCRW or someone similar), you can bring in food and drinks. It’s awesome to bring in takeout and down a bunch of drinks from your seats; a buddy and I at ELO a few years ago polished off a 24 pack of Bud Heavy’s that some dude named Mad Dog from the Inland empire brought until they kicked us out 30 minutes after the show lol Two musts for the Hollywood Bowl: 1. Get there pretty damn early, it becomes a shit show closer to actual start time 2. Closest you should plan to get (coming south or west) is Hollywood and Highland. If you are taking ride share, plan to get dropped off there and walk the 15 minutes up hill to the Bowl, if you park, park in the Hollywood Highland parking complex and walk up. Whatever you do, for the love of God, do not park at the Bowl. It’s stacked parking and an absolute shit show in and out
Appreciate the info. It's a Live Nation event, so I guess the picnic and byob is out of the question.
I'm doing park and ride. Pickup is at Santa Anita GC parking lot, which is less than three miles from my place.
Used to think this about the parking until recently. The lot across the bowl is stacked but doesn't take long to get out of at all. Used to park and ride/park at Hollywood and highland but friends that we go to the bowl with would park in lot C and routinely end up getting home way before we did.
even if the storm seems like nothing be careful driving or walking around after. Lot of hospitalizations or deaths come from accidents w power lines
