I think seeing Danny blow a hole through someone's chest would be hilarious. Or see how Jordan or Theo would do against him.
Theo wasn't eligible and he would have destroyed Jordan. It would be fun to see him either destroy someone unlikable (Josh) or would be meme'd (Bananas) or have him against someone with legitimate size & strength (CT, Rogan, etc) just to see how brutally different his athleticism is than theirs, but there was no good hall brawl coming out of these teams left that featured Danny
It's going to be hilarious if Tori and Danny finish 3rd behind Jordan and Kaycee. Jordan/Kaz feel like the favorites at this point. Jordan doesn't need much out of a partner and she was solid in her season. Reminds me of the CT/Amber final pairing. Finally, I'd like to know the whereabouts of Sarah's husband on January 6th, 2021
That was my favorite season in a while. Final could have been a little better, but I'll take that over the 3 episode bullshit they just did on Ride or Dies. Spoiler: Spoiler Jordan has to be the GOAT at this point. Counting this one, he's participated in 8 seasons, made the final in 6 and won 4. I'm doing a rewatch of all the seasons and just finished Rivals 2 which was his first season and it's pretty funny to watch the rest of the cast slowly realize that he's a force. He was a beast that season too and only lost because his partner Marlon couldn't swim for shit and they lost in the first leg of the final. Then you had the Ride or Dies season where he had 0% chance of winning with Aneesa as his partner. If Jordan makes the final with a partner that can somewhat keep up, the guy is going to win. He has no weaknesses, it's ridiculous.
Cast said there was an entire section on the 2nd day with kayaking and hiking up a mountain that was edited out
Spoiler Jordan is an absolute beast. But CT is still the GOAT. He'd have more championships than bananas if he didn't fight someone and get himself kicked off all the time in his early years and he's pretty much dominated every season he's been on in his later years (sans the one elimination against Jay). Bigger than Jordan so won't lose in hall brawls/pole wrestles and is just as good at puzzles and shit like that as Jordan. I would put Jordan at #2 though.

think with the writers union dispute theres going to be a lot more not-so-scripted reality tv this year
That’s what I was wondering. Cast looks okay. Don’t watch BB or Survivor so don’t know any of the new people
The survivor people are always pretty good. But kind of bad for drama. Sarah and Ben are the exceptions. But pretty much every survivor player doesnt take anything personal. Just approaches it as a game. MTV should do a new class of brand new young people that will just get drunk and create messy drama, then graduate them up to the other shows.
I know it’s a liability and we should all be better but man I miss the days when this show was a bunch of hot messes partying with some challenges mixed in.
Im not too proud to admit that either. It was a while ago, but I think it was Bananas podcast. They were talking about how that style of tv wouldnt happen with gen z, because they're all too focused on their personal brand. It would be all IG models who are too aware of how they come off looking on TV to really act wild.
I couldn’t watch the world champions and was waiting until next week to start. Somehow successfully avoided spoilers all season - my wife tags me in the winners post on Instagram this morning. Pain.
Finally caught up on this season. This was definitely better than some of the recent more serious seasons but I do think it’s more enjoyable when it’s just drunk debauchery. For as much as they talked about the politics of the game throughout the season there was very little of it when it actually came to voting. I think had Grant not been DQd it would have been different. Danny’s insistence on getting Jordan out was bizarre but I guess ultimately he was spot on
Upcoming show premier dates/speculation All-Stars 4 (has been done filming for a while, beware of spoilers) - TBD but could be any moment. Almost has to end before USA Challenge 2 begins USA Challenge 2 (just done filming, beware of spoilers online) - August 10 MTV Challenge 39 (filming in June) - TBD, somewhere between late fall and early 2024
He just posted a video of himself leaving the hospital in a wheelchair...in the video he thanked Dan Orlovsky for sending him a motivational video message. Dan Orlovsky loves himself some Challenge.
I need a timeline of when the last few seasons of the different franchises filmed including up through AS4 and USA2
Women: Berna Canbeldek (Spies, Lies & Allies) Colleen Schneider (Ride or Dies) Jessica Brody (The Challenge: Australia) Melissa Reeves (Vendettas & Final Reckoning) Michelle Fitzgerald (Spies, Lies & Allies & Ride or Dies) Moriah Jadea (Ride or Dies) Nurys Mateo (Ride or Dies) Olivia Kaiser (Ride or Dies) Ravyn Collier (Ride or Dies) Sofia “Jujuy” Jimenez (The Challenge: Argentina & The Challenge: World Championship) Tula “Big T” Fazakerley (Spies, Lies, & Allies, Double Agents, Total Madness, & WOTWII) Zara Zoffany (The Challenge: UK & The Challenge: World Championship) Men: Asaf Goren (Total Madness) Callum Izzard (The Challenge: UK) Chauncey Palmer (Ride or Dies) Ciarran Stott (The Challenge: Australia) Corey Lay (Spies, Lies & Allies) Ed Eason (Spies, Lies & Allies) Emanuel Neagu (Spies, Lies & Allies) Horacio Gutierrez (Ride or Dies) Hughie Maughan (Spies, Lies & Allies) Kyland Young (The Challenge: USA) James “Lockie” Lock (The Challenge: UK) Jay Starret (Total Madness, Double Agents, & Ride or Dies) The Challenge Season 39 is shaping up to be an interesting and refreshing season that will deliver something many fans have been wanting. Though there will be familiar faces, there are no former champions, which paves the way for some new competitors to become Challenge legends. Perhaps MTV is starting to listen to fans, or maybe the network wants to give its former champs a rest before the monumental Season 40. Either way, The Challenge Season 39 is something to look forward to.
I would have liked to have seen some random older guys that had never won mixed in with the new guys. ETA I know Nelson is hurt but as an example he would have been a good one
Feel like this almost has to happen given the cast list. That or they're just saving all of their bullets to blow it out for season 40.
Listening to Bananas' podcast, it sounds like they really blew the edit for not just the Global finale, but really the whole season. It's bizarre what they chose to focus on vs. left on the cutting room floor.
There are some great guys brought back in that group. Ed, Emmanuel and Chauncey....Hughie is fucking hilarious. Jay I like having a season of fresher faces
I don’t mind it but I do wish they would have sprinkled in at least a few OGs. You put some of the heavier hitters with that group and they’re probably going to be targeted out the gate which would be fun to watch as opposed to them buddy systeming their way to the final like usual.
