I really don't know what the deal is with underdogs winning outright or getting blown out. That's like 36 of the last 37 games in which the team that won the game also covered the spread. It's like big favorites can't handle being in close games

Watching these teams struggle to put away (or losing to) obviously lesser opponents is not making me feel great about anyone in either conference right now. Even Philly looked like shit for a lot of that sweep and Embiid is hurt.

This feels like the closest the NBA playoffs have ever been to the NCAA Tournament.

Kind of amazing that super teams ruled the 10s from Miami/GS/Cleveland and now we're fully out of it where there isn't a single team that scares anyone right now. Was the same way the last couple years, but it feels more pronounced now than I can ever remember. Milwaukee is probably the closest thing to it with their top 3, and they can't stay healthy or stop from shooting themselves in the dick whenever they have a nice thing going.

 

Agreed. And it seems 50/50 at best that they even make it out of this round. But we've watched them do this for years now, yet everyone in the media keeps picking them as the favorites the last two years because they have Giannis and the closest thing in the league to a trio of "stars".
