Kinda spontaneous and I also booked one of my kids summer camps today so today has basically been the most expensive day ever.
Hell yes, I'll be there a week from today. Was hoping they'd do that. I was going to miss it by a week.
oooo we're going the 27th through 29, which park is this at? I just have to get on the app and request via a virtual queue?
Magic Kingdom. I haven't done virtual que in a few years, but start refreshing it early and have to get lucky still.
you have to have a park rez for MK to join the 7am virtual queue to join the 1pm virtual queue, you have to be in MK
Our passes for MK are the 28th. Have scheduled lunch, outside the park, at 1pm that day. Boooo, we’ll see what happens.
For those of you wanting to ride Tron this week or next, I would highly suggest buying the individual lightning lane instead of trying for virtual queue also, as of now it closes at 6pm during the previews so no nighttime rides
WTF with Beaches and Cream? Whomever made that call deserves to be fired and then given the Cersei Lannister perp walk. That's horrid.
Anyone been on Mickey and Minnie's Runaway Railway? Looks like it's essentially the same type of ride as Rise of the Resistance. How does it compare? Obviously the stories are incomparable, Rise looks like it's maybe a little more thrilling but Runaway may have some spots that get wilder than just a Mickey Mouse ride.
It’s fun. Same tech as Rise but clearly different scales. More intense than a “Mickey Mouse ride” but still fine for all kids.
I haven’t been on Rise but railway is one of the most technologically impressive rides I’ve been on. The use of projection and the movement of the ride is just so cool.
Runaway is great. My only complaint is that 3 of the newest rides all use the same technology with different IP.
It is. But for a while the 3 newest rides in Disney were are the same. Kind of wore off the luster for me.
Our first day was Epcot and we were supposed to rope drop ratatouille but were late so we waited like 45 minutes to ride it. I was not pleased with the wait and was not pleased with the results either.
I’ll politely disagree. Ratatouille is better than MMRR. I think MMRR is boring and that song Mickey sings gets stuck in your head forever.
Went back early March and did Airbnb + only partial park days + MOTHERFUCK lightning lanes. Was so much more enjoyable and relaxing than the full experience
Riding big thunder mountain railroad with my oldest while the fireworks went off was fuckin rad 10/10 would recommend
Tokyo got rid of fastpass except for 3 or 4 rides are ILL, and not many people buy them, and it's a much better experience. It's amazing how much better it is once you dont ruin the line with trying to allow more people through the FP line
2 really enjoyable takeaways: 1. Took the skyliner from HS to Topolinos on the top of Riviera for dinner. Awesome restaurant. Even eating my kids pasta and grilled chicken leftovers was great. Steak was a legitimately great steak. Highly recommend. 2. Genie+ is just awesome for us lazier folk with kids under 8. You can chill and hang out with a late breakfast buffet, pool, or whatever just stacking lightening lanes at Magic Kingdom. You can get Tron/7dwarfs/Peter Pan all at 7AM. Then at 10AM, grab Thun mountain, noon grab a night Jungle cruise, 2 PM, grab whatever and just start hammering out ride after ride until the fireworks. Zero waiting in line at MK. Was incredible. Strategy doesn’t work as well at Epcot due to limited rides. Great at MK and HS though.
Maybe I don’t know enough about G+ but I thought you could only have one at a time? alao has the photopass benefit started yet?
Tron and 7 dwarfs are separate. Tron is a virtual que (or ind lightning lane for $$) and 7 dwarfs is ILL. But with Genie plus, you can make a 7AM selection and then a selection 2 hours after park opens and then every 2 hours after that. So you can stack them up for a travel day or later start to the day. But yes, after you use one, then you can make another genie plus LL selection. The problem at Epcot is that everyone wants the same 3 rides, so by the 11AM selection, Frozen was already gone by the people who got to the park early and did their first ride before 11AM. If you do the first ride before that 2 hour window, you can select the next ride immediately. (I’m sure this is clear as mud)
Ok I knew the “you can get one after you use one” LL part but not the every 2 hours part. So that’s where I got lost on the stacking thing
We stayed at the Riviero and ate there night 1. It was really good. I timed it and from door to door it took us 2 minutes to get on the SkyLiner from the room. Best part of that hotel.
Reservations open for my cruise on Monday. What should I even be looking to reserve? Kids club space? On Fantasy
Palo dinner. All of the drink experiences Kids club for night you eat at palo (assuming your kid is under 2)
I just got back from the Wish last week. You didn’t have to book the kids club space, you just came and dropped them off as you pleased. I’d assume it works the same for the Fantasy?
Ah, maybe there are special events within the kids club that you can book? I’ll let one of the more seasoned cruisers in here answer that. we just signed them in and dropped them off whenever we pleased. I swear my kids were the only ones on the boat that didn’t love it. Ours would want to get out after only 30 mins each time
