Arkansas just passed what will be the most harmful education bill our state has ever seen. It’s seriously so embarrassing and I hate everyone involved. The only bright note from yesterday
It’s insane to see people, who cannot afford to send their children to private school, duped into thinking that they can now just send their kids to private schools instead in public ones. It benefits the parents who already have their kids in private schools and takes away from public schools. Tax payers are now footing the bill for the kids that are in private/religious schools with no benefit to themselves other than an imaginary carrot on a stick. I’m not sure what they think is going to happen to the small public schools who can barely afford to stay open as it is. Parents are just going to have to drive their kids a few towns over to school and back everyday. What a win!
Lol woke companies hate you but I don’t n I bet the audio recordings from cocktail parties tell a much different tale.
https://www.timesofisrael.com/three-more-children-diagnosed-with-polio-virus-in-northern-outbreak/ Bring back the classics In recent months, there is evidence of a spread of polio in many sewage systems in Israel, which has more than 150,000 children unvaccinated against the virus,” the statement warned.
If this person strikes you as a person to trust with your nest egg, you don’t deserve it anyways. Better losing it all and needing handouts to own libs. They’d blow it all on beanie babies at some point.
I keep trying to explain this to my family (in FL, where something like this is likely gonna pass next year). Unless they start building hundreds of new private schools, the “vouchers” are just gonna go to the families that are already paying for private school.
Chad Wolff, who illegally served in his position in the first place, is Nazi dogshit who should be rotting away chained to a wall
Laugh now, but when the power grid goes down and we live in post apocalyptic world you’re all going to regret not having physical gold to eat!
Is there somewhere I can really dig into this Disney stuff? I feel like I sort of get it but I’ve been reading that Florida will now takeover bond payments as part of this, so is Mearball taking on substantial debt to own libs? What are they gaining in this?
My understanding is that originally that was going to be the case but they scrapped that idea when they learned that and now just passed new legislation to where all of the board members of Reedy Creek are appointed by the governor, not Disney. DeSantis signs bill that gives him more control of Disney's special district https://www.cnn.com/2023/02/27/politics/desantis-disney-reedy-creek/index.html
It’s all culture war bullshit in the “protect our kids” narrative that really accelerated due to Covid. And no organization has more influence over children than Disney so Meatball thinks this is a winning battle. https://www.nytimes.com/article/disney-florida-desantis.html?smid=url-share
Times like this I wish Disney was as vindictive as I would be and close for a week. All these people who spent years planning these weird ass trips would be livid. Literally tell people they are undergoing structural changes because of meatball. They’d never do it but a boy can dream.
He's a target for faux outrage all the time. There's a thread about him on the homeboard that pops up every few weeks complaining about something. idk.
Close indefinitely and announce that they have some things to reevaluate in light of the recent developments. They'd break his fucking back.
Don Lemon is recently trending because he was cited in the Dilbert guy’s racist tirade as a black guy that allegedly refuses to live among black people.
The funny thing about the Lemon stuff is that he says stupid shit all the time that's extremely cringey. But the stuff they get worked up over is when he's just blunt and to the point about double standards and racists ect.
I don't know how were supposed to have a country if this the way things are going to be...like you can't have it so trans people have to change their clothes to cross a state border. Students in illinois are taught that slavery happened, while students next door in indiana are taught that the south was right, and also liberal, and also evil, but not for slavery reasons or whatever? This isn't what a country looks like.
