Watch Thread - Part Deux

I’ve bought from them before. They are legit.

 

Anyone have experience with NATO straps? I’m not trying to overspend on something if it doesn’t matter. Just want to get some good ones that are comfortable for a couple divers I have.

I’ll splurge for good leather though.

 

Crown&Buckle for NATO's, also. Very high quality. Their Matte Supreme and Chevron Noble lines in particular. I've got an SKX and several Seiko mods on their bands, very happy with them.

 

Anybody have experience with Bremont? Local guy is an AD and he always has some good looking stuff.

This is for other watches than the Tudor. But will definitely check out crown and buckle.

 

Those are really cool in person. I went shopping with my buddy and he looked at this and also the Blancplain 50 fathoms. He ended up getting the storm trooper Seamaster.

Fuck I’m tempted I’m really tempted.

 

Crown and buckle is my favorite. I’ve had one on my citizen bl5250-02l for 8-10 years and it still holds up well(even though there hasn’t been much wear on it). Just bought a kangaroo leather nato from there and it’s amazing.

 

I went ahead and pulled the trigger on the Bucherer Manero AutoDate. While I’m a fan of the piece itself, the box was one of the more impressive I’ve seen.





the watch is every bit of 42mm and has some good weight to it, it’s definitely my bigger face next to the Tag Carrera. The face’s out edge where the hour markers end creates a nice reflection in the light the makes it pop. It’s hard to capture it in pics

I was hesitant about how’d it look in person with the different textures but it’s really well done. I popped my cherry with that style of dial

Love the mesh bracelet. I think that watch looks great.

 

As a Superocean owner, I say grab it. Agree with Jorts about changing out to NATO or rubber strap for it

 

Love them, you could swing it. You can get different shrouds to go around it --- was thinking this might scratch my bronze itch.

 

ebay is great ---- prefer zulu for the larger rings

 

Happy with the purchase. Feeling like I need something with a blue dial now. This is not going to go well…

 

And then you'll need a dressier one to wear with a suit. And then another one for a suit with brown shoes since that black one won't cut it. What about a white dial? Then maybe something fun with a pop of yellow or orange. Hell, let's do both.

Does your AD sell them? I went to a few VC stores recently, and the policy is that you can't even get on a list without buying a separate VC from them first. So fuck that.

 

I just ordered another Rolex from my AD, but he unfortunately doesn't have any other high end brands.

I'd buy the blue face Overseas tomorrow if I could find it at retail. If I were you, I'd at least contemplate an AP over a VC. IMO the steel royal oak is the best steel sports watch made.

 

I would buy a steel Royal oak today if I could get it at retail.

 

First time seeing that black dial datejust. Flawless imo.

 

Vc has some unique stuff

 

My buddy literally got one of those the other day. He got the navy 46mm on the milanese. I really like it but he bought it on ebay used for like 2700.
