yeah you’d think they’ve got a 24 kid they think is worth announcing to kickstart it hmmm who could that be
Everybody’s rebuild of our beloved Huskers in NCAA 24 is gonna be pretty easy with our freshman QB that year.
I am guzzling this guy’s kool aid right now. Mostly just a breath of fresh air from the black plague of the last however many fucking years.
The lines about “I don’t care what you’ve done, I want to see what you can do now” and “every guy in that locker room is now my guy” even if he didn’t recruit them were so on point to get buy and not a fractured team. The inevitable losing season this year, at least based on track record, won’t even phase me knowing there’s long term vision in play
He transferred to Westside for football, but he’s back at Central for track. Don’t know how that’s possible with the NSAA, but his dad is the head track coach at Central.
While I have zero expectations, I could see him doing a lot better in year one than people think. He’s nowhere near as hamstrung as he was when he first got to Baylor, anyway.
I mean we’re bad because we compare ourselves to actual programs, but we’re still fairly average for the B10 West. I could see us anywhere from 3 wins to 7
I'm allowing myself to get hype because Rhule's injected the program with a ton of energy and he clearly has a plan. I think they'll be a fringe bowl team next year, but I bet the team will improve as the season goes on.
rhule and Trev are far exceeding the minimum expected so far but to be clear That minimum was so easy to exceed because the last couple of dorks were constantly hungover, drunk, or stupid
(not you guys but in general) I was always baffled at people that thought that Frost was this charismatic QB1 HC. If anyone had ever seen him give an interview he always came off as a basic, unenergetic, idiot.
I always say at work that all the training we could possibly provide won’t imbue the two most important traits in our employees: effort and enthusiasm. Seems young old Corch Rool has both of them in spades.
His responses on everything were exactly what I wanted to hear. O/D Line They're all my players Transfer portal He is who we needed. I'm super excited he's our coach.
It may have been obvious but I was too dumb to connect the dots. Guys on the radio today were talking about Rhule being the informal associate O-line coach, sharing the responsibility with Raiola. This makes me feel much better about the coaching for that group. Raiola was such a wild card hire to begin with, then coming in with poop talent, I think it’s impossible to fairly evaluate him this far. With Rhule being heavily involved, it’ll be easier for the head coach to fire him quickly if he does suck.
Yes, that will be a factor. I’m still not convinced that’s as big of a play as some people think. The number of on the field coaches are limited, and it can really screw your team if you put some schmuck in charge of maybe the most important position group. Rhule could have easily retained him as an analyst and probably kept his salary about the same.
I’m team Raiola. A part of me thinks Trev had his hand in Frost hiring him, but it’s not like he’s just Dylan’s uncle. He learned OL play at Wisconsin and then under Harry Hiestand. What more do you want from an OL coach besides years of production and experience? Not to mention that the players seemingly love him. Rhule will be all over the O Line and D Line and rightfully so. This is Nebraska there should be an emphasis on those 2 positions every year
In Rhules presser, I think it was about Raiola when he said he asked the position group about their coach and this was one of the only groups that the players unanimously supported the coach. This included players entering the portal, though I don’t know which O-lineman entered the portal so maybe this was hyperbole
Rhule is a Philly butt. He can't not shove a little when any opportunity presents. Dude smart as hell, wise, centered, and a total east coast butt. He's Cinderella (the band) as a man. He's my favorite of all tim and you will see me cape for him Sam-I-Am style until it kills me.
I think Rhule fancies himself a coach developer too, so he probably thinks he can turn Raiola into a good one.
I mean, he's got a pretty impressive tree going especially for a guy his age. I'm not betting against him
luckily I was a few years behind you guys and only had to witness @1 dunking on us from the end of the varsity bench
Building off these post (because I agree) I think what helps that is he has clearly defined expectations of his coaches to give a unified front to the players. You get that many people in one room there are BOUND to be disagreements in every capacity of life, but the players have to feel you are united in your message. This appears to have always been the case with Rhule.
