With how we played, not too concerned with the portal. I know we aren’t going to win but 6 games next year max. I’m just confused as to why it’s taking so long to name the DC if we have our man. I don’t give a fuck about that other team and our new DC shouldn’t either. He needs to get to work helping us salvage this recruiting year and hit the portal hard. which makes me think we may not be so certain we have our guy even though we seem to have a “front-runner”.

I mean I’m not happy about it, but this is to be expected with staff turnover and the timing of these guys leaving for other jobs right before signing day. It sucks. Im not going to spam every thread like a whiny bitch though. We did land some big time transfers last year in January and I expect us to do the same this year. Maybe we will land the 4* LB twins that decommitted from UCF? We lost a WR in Tease that OU wanted at CB (which stings for us), a 3* DL from GA to Auburn that was ranked outside the top 1000, and a 3* TE that flipped to his instate school. We still have Hasz and Easter. Easter has wavered a bit but hasn’t decommitted and is visiting us in January to get acquainted with new position coach. We all freaked out over losing Odom and Dowell, and replaced them with two really good coaches.
I like Pittman so it is what it is. Football doesn’t have anything to do with my happiness in life. Really enjoying basketball success and baseball season is coming. No reason to worry about football. I quit following recruiting a long time ago and it made my life a lot more enjoyable.
