As a jew and someone who is actively pissed at Dave for being a turbodildo to trans folks (ie not a fan of new dave) I will say personally I was not offended. Not super sensitive about this shit I guess. Also I disregarded kanye's bullshit as the rants of an unwell person so maybe I don't represent the mainstream jewish person. It'd be interesting to do a survey of jewish folks to see how they took the monologue.
just watched the monologue for the first time. the jewish stuff wasn't even funny outside of like one moment, and he didn't really walk the line that well, it was pretty openly allowing his fans to explore kanye/kyrie ideas. there was some funny stuff in there outside of the jewish content, however. weird experience.
I think Dave is funny. I think Dave is poignant. I also think he has a tough time imagining anyone has had it harder than black people. He lacks some empathy, but I don’t necessarily think it makes him a “piece of shit.”
