Had a game the other day where the other team mid had his twitch name as his player name, guy was streaming with no delay. I had 14 dewards.
i don't care about cosmetics at all (spent $0 on dota hats) but the battlepass has good ones imo that abaddon taunt is so good
i could never really figure out the equipment and inventory pages imo i came to dota from dota 2 where the (literal) hats actually had substantial value (hundreds of dollars), the hats benefited you in pubs (pub medics were more likely to heal the guy with colorful equipment), and equipping things was super easy and could be done at any time during the game.
Alliance just got eliminated by Gorgc/team bald. (A team that doesn’t scrim or practice) I actually can’t wait for that VOD on his youtube
tried it. didnt like it. it's an auto battler which i dont like. it is a well put together game though.
Tbh, I find it harder to get into these days without having a team I want to support. Watching great dota is fun, but I got into it at a high with TI5 and EG gave me some great moments over the years. That team is just painful to watch now. I'll probably watch though, I'm a sucker for TI.
I’ve got back into dota pretty hard the last few months and kinda want to watch TI. It sounds like the whole thing is a clusterfuck though.
Will watch but time zone sucks. LCQ games were all overnight here. Will likely just stay spoiler free and watch YouTube highlights.
Puppey is not a 5. Yes he plays safe lane support, but dude always has twice as much farm as his “4”.
I'm not a big reddit dota2 person but they are absolutely right about the issues with this TI + PGL this doesn't feel special at all
guessing we'll go spoiler-free in here but let me just say wow at that game first time i've found myself organically rooting for EG since TI6
That's what I get for talking shit. EG dominating group stage... Is interest in dota dwindling? the prize pool this year is such a big drop off. Or did they change the structure?
Interest in dota is high. The game has had a increase in players the last few months. Prize pool is a function of a few things: economy, lackluster battle pass rewards, regional pricing. Basically it feels like valve phoned it in and the community is responding. It’s a shame because the game itself is really fun right now.
Battle pass is the worst it’s been since TI5. players frustrated by Valve’s lack of effort toward Dota in general. playerbase is massive right now, hit peak since TI8 or something recently. Pro scene is thriving and competitive. People finally voting with their wallets.
it's wild that covid is just rampaging these chinese teams. sucks for them. also sad for TSM, who look like they'll be eliminated soon. really impressed with hokori.
Hopefully it continues on the main stage, EG seems to have found a meta they're good at and are rolling everyone. Most of the other teams seem on the same level currently. That's shitty on valve's part if the game is booming and they're fucking it up. Glad people are speaking with their wallets.
I wish dota+ had been around when I played a shit ton of non-turbo games. Feel like I would be over level 20 on several heroes.
This is the EG we all know. Dominate group stage, proceed to shit all over themselves in the main event.
I stayed up to watch EG get stomped. Go Thunder Awaken imo. Fun team to watch. Reminds me of TI6 Wings
trashcan fly still choking endlessly when it matters. I havent even watched dota in 5 years and he's still absolute trash
Typical modern EG. I stayed up last night to watch as well, but turned it off 15 minutes into game 2. South America seems to be much better these days, ya?
Woke up, Entity vs RNG went 107 minutes, longest in TI history. Holy shit. There were like 8 rapiers.
“It’s been eight years since I was last on camera…If you wonder where I was, it was low prio. Not sure who reported me.”
