Back in black La Grange Purple Haze All Along the watchtower Whipping post Free bird Lose yourself Ramble on Stairway to Heaven Time
Aite we are rocking now. Time to go some good Aerosmith Back In The Saddle Last Child Train Kept a Rollin' Then hit em with Bad Company - Bad Company -> Ready For Love Foreigner - Long, Long Way From Home -> Blue Morning Blue Day
I am at risk of being pulled over if any of those songs come on while driving. Also, I've never liked Talking Heads. Come at me.
KISS was my first concert. Second leg of Alive/Worldwide Tour, all four in makeup after years apart in the brand new Nashville arena '97
All of my favorites that would fit the “GOAT” label already been posted. Been jamming this a ton the last few months and wanted to add. Insane riff and change up.
Scorpions concert last night was incredible. The energy they have at their age makes zero sense and I was stunned at how packed/electric the crowd was
The "classic rock" definition seems kind of like choose your own adventure but I'd put U2 up against anybody. Bono gives an album worthy performance at basically every concert
I generally associate classic rock as rock from the 60s and 70s but if someone is going to disparage my fav tiny irish douchebag I will white knight for him
My head explodes every time the local classic rock station plays something like Green Day, but we’re further separated from Dookie now than we were from most of the traditional classic rock library when Dookie came out.
Classic rock isn't about being x # of years removed from when the rock came out. There's a style element, too. Plenty of very new stuff that fits into the vein of classic rock more than a bunch of early 90s alt rock and stuff
Blues based guitar rock that generally comes from (but not limited to) the 60s, 70s and some of the 80s.
Don't make me say this, but, like Greta Van Fleet is classic rock. I fucking hate that band, but nonetheless, it is.
Yeah classic rock is a time capsule and style, like oldies. The format stations have a moving target, but the new additions don’t fit the style. Sort of like a 1997 ford Taurus technically being a classic car.
Their last album where they thought they were going to try to be Yes made me cringe in a way that changed my face forever
I bought one of their albums out of curiosity 3-4 years ago and popped it in my CD changer in the Odyssey just before the load/eject function stopped working. Quickly tired of it, so the last few years I've had five CDs I want to listen to (Die Fledermaus, Heart Greatest Hits, Eagles Greatest Hits Vol. 1, Boston, Led Zep Anthology III) and one wasted spot. Donated the Odyssey three days ago, so now it's somebody else's problem
Then everyone's like "bUt RoBuRt PlAnT tHaYs ItS gOoD" and like yeah you expect him to be super mean and shrewd about this hip young band all the kids like on the record?
Final answer this is the greatest CR song ever therefore greatest song ever. Fuck off dumbdumb indie queefs and adult male weird Olivia Rodrigo creeps
My old man told me Jethro Tull was the best concert he ever saw. Lead singer is one hell of a performer/clown on stage. Also feel like he resembles Braves pitcher Ian Anderson and is also coincidentally named, Ian Anderson.
Using this as the tmb official CR thread Ten Years After > Cream Alvin Lee > Clapton Please respect my decision
I’m sure it’s already been posted, but this is the quintessential classic rock anthem/song, imo. All others would be fighting for 2nd place. This one encapsulates the sound and era, again, imo
