Deserves consideration

 

Scorpions concert last night was incredible. The energy they have at their age makes zero sense and I was stunned at how packed/electric the crowd was

 

The "classic rock" definition seems kind of like choose your own adventure but I'd put U2 up against anybody. Bono gives an album worthy performance at basically every concert

 

I generally associate classic rock as rock from the 60s and 70s but if someone is going to disparage my fav tiny irish douchebag I will white knight for him

I just consider U2 to be rock, but I guess at this point they may be classic rock.

 

My head explodes every time the local classic rock station plays something like Green Day, but we’re further separated from Dookie now than we were from most of the traditional classic rock library when Dookie came out.

 

Classic rock in my head is more of a sound than a time period but again that's my own definition

 

Classic rock isn't about being x # of years removed from when the rock came out. There's a style element, too. Plenty of very new stuff that fits into the vein of classic rock more than a bunch of early 90s alt rock and stuff

 

Blues based guitar rock that generally comes from (but not limited to) the 60s, 70s and some of the 80s.

 

Don't make me say this, but, like Greta Van Fleet is classic rock.

Yeah classic rock is a time capsule and style, like oldies. The format stations have a moving target, but the new additions don’t fit the style. Sort of like a 1997 ford Taurus technically being a classic car.

 

Their last album where they thought they were going to try to be Yes made me cringe in a way that changed my face forever

 

I bought one of their albums out of curiosity 3-4 years ago and popped it in my CD changer in the Odyssey just before the load/eject function stopped working. Quickly tired of it, so the last few years I've had five CDs I want to listen to (Die Fledermaus, Heart Greatest Hits, Eagles Greatest Hits Vol. 1, Boston, Led Zep Anthology III) and one wasted spot. Donated the Odyssey three days ago, so now it's somebody else's problem

 

Unfortunately your taste in music continues to be your problem. Zing!
