So the pool drain, should be good right? It’s not my primary residence so I can’t check on it constantly during this thing
I can’t remember which flood I was watching recently and they have these new interlocking barriers that are as effective if not more, fyi.
You’re fine. If it starts to overflow you can let some out by reversing the pump flow (at least that’s how mine is set up) Worded this poorly, I have to change a valve direction
I just have to turn a valve to let the water run out the front. Without seeing your set up no idea how you’d do it
My coworkers dad is currently stuck on the second floor of his apartment complex. He's in fort Myers. Sounds like an absolute shitshow.
Same general concept but you might need a pool float to lay on and a garden hose connected to a condom.
you should have a pipe that doesn’t really go anywhere with a valve. That should be the overflow valve. You usually have to hook a hose up. I think - and don’t quote me - newer set ups run that overflow through a pipe out to road.
no, draining the pool combined with rain bringing the water table up will cause your pool to crack or pop out of the ground. leave it and after flooding has subsided you’ll want to have a company drain it and refill it
My dad says he thinks he;s going to lose their pool cage. They way the eye is moving, it looks like he's just going to stay in the eye wall the whole time. Fuck this storm man.
I've always wondered how the TWC ad structure works and if hurricane coverage triggers certain ads to run at obviously much higher values.
I didn’t look closely but I think earlier it was still supposed about to be around Daytona area at 8am Friday. Now it seems all the way projected up at Florida Georgia border
Holy hell it is anarchy in Fort Myers. The eyewall is raking us, even three miles inland. 100+ mph gusts, trees are toppling over everywhere. Pool cage might be about to collapse, power is cutting in frequently with limited cell reception.
Aunt and uncle have a house south of fort aunt and uncle have a place in Kelly greens. They aren’t there at the moment, but I figured their place was getting wrecked. There’s a lake behind there house as well, so probably a lot of water in the house.
