I love the RB1 in Shanahan's offense and they may lean on him more with Deebo presumably getting varianced and Lance still new. On the flip side, that offense has a lot of weapons and Mitchell seemed to get banged up a lot. The starting running back for Baltimore is obviously a good spot, too, but Dobbins seemingly has struggled to recover from this ACL injury (and may miss the start of the year). RBs coming off ACL injuries are usually not quite right. Plus, that OL is in a bad place and Dobbins hasn't shown to be much of a pass catcher. Personally, I think Mitchell is in a better spot but I could see the argument for Dobbins.
First draft of the year. I’m a firm believer in zero rb. I told myself not to draft rb’s early and of course I drafted rb the first two rounds. Wr’s better stay healthy. Ten team full ppr and I drafted ninth. Qb: Stafford Rb: Najee Rb: Swift Wr: Evans Wr: Pittman Rb/Wr: Sutton Te: Kittle D: Colts K: Bass Bench: Allen Robinson Bench: AJ Dillon Bench: Chase Edmonds Bench: Damien Harris Bench: Melvin Gordon Bench: Cole Kmet Bench: Darrel Henderson
Have the 7th pick in a superflex league tomorrow, a format I've never played in Assuming Allen, Herbert, Mahomes, and Lamar are all drafted, do I go for one of Taylor, Ekeler, Kupp, and McCaffrey or take one of those second-tier QBs (Murray, Hurts, Burrow) in round 1 just to be certain I get one? I think my preference is to get one of those top RBs and try and get Hurts/Lance in rounds 2/3 but I'm not sure if that'll happen in real life like it happens in my mock drafts.
Okay will use this thread going forward. I'm 7th in my home re-draft league. It's a more conservative, RB-heavy league historically, but I'm warming up to drafting Jamarr Chase at 7 if Kupp/Jefferson are both gone.
In my dynasty league, I got offered Ekeler, Swift, and a 2023 first rounder for Jonathan Taylor and a 2023 second. My team is extremely top heavy and while Ekeler is old, I would be getting back the type of young RB in Swift that I would want in return if I moved JT.
Got my first draft in an hour and I’ve done zero research. Who are some guys y’all are targeting this year?
I’ve got the 11th pick. I’m debating Mixon and Swift there thinking Barkley will definitely be there at 14 after the turn. I would probably take Najee if that’s the 4 you are thinking.
Thanks. I was leaning Harris and Swift if they’re available. Keep reading reports that Barkley is tearing it up, but the Giants suck
I drafted Swift/Adams from the 12 spot and I’m mostly regretting it. Wish I would have taken Kamara or Jones instead of Swift. Drafting a Lions RB with my first overall pick just scares the hell out of me.
this is kinda crazy but contemplating it. thoughts? 12 team league .5 ppr .5 te premium wr/te superflex i trade: 4th and 52nd pick i receive: 20th and 29th pick so i won’t pick until #20 but i will have 20,21,28,29 and i can get a very solid 4 there but not picking till 20 is tough
Someone link the best up to date cheat sheet. For the appreciation I’ll send devine out to your place for some top notch dome. Trust me dudes, I know from experience.
i got him to swap 6th and 10th rd picks with me as well. i took the deal. not sure who i’d get at 4 and it is a risk to rely on that pick regardless imo
had my draft tonight in a 12-team half-ppr superflex league with a couple of people who have never played fantasy and no one who has ever played superflex my team (personal rankings in paranthesis): QB - Lamar Jackson (QB4) Superflex - Trey Lance (QB6) RB - Elijah Mitchell (RB14) RB - Clyde Edwards-Helaire (RB21) WR - Jamarr Chase (WR3) WR - Michael Pittman (WR11) Flex - Amari Cooper (WR26) TE - Gerald Everett B - Dameon Pierce (RB20) B - Brian Robinson (RB34) B - Isaih Pacheco (RB41) B - Hunter Renfrow (WR30) B - Romeo Doubs (WR49) B - George Pickens (WR21) B - Deandre Hopkins (WR41) I will move Hopkins to IR and pick up a DEF before the game starts. Generally speaking, I feel good about my team and think at least 1-2 of the high ceiling bench guys I have will be worth rostering. Obviously I'm weak at RB but we'll see what happens with injuries and Pierce might be a savior for me. I had the 7th pick and my hope was to go McCaffrey > Hurts > Lance > Fournette in the first four rounds. CMac went 6th and left me Lamar and then I didn't think I could pass on Chase after so many RBs were picked. Fournette was drafted 2-3 picks ahead of me on the return in the 4th.
maybe i made a mistake but i wasn't planning on a 3rd qb unless mariota fell late and this was a league of oregon people so he was picked in the ~12th round
Random gripe: mock drafts on Yahoo are useless after the 7th round of the way teams that are autodrafting fill out their roster. If 4 people leave the mock after round 5, they are drafting a defense and/or kicker in rounds 8/9. Unrelated question: how do people rank the following RB's in a .5 PPR? Tony Pollard, Rashaad Penny, Rhamondre Stevenson, Melvin Gordon, Kareem Hunt, Cordarrelle Patterson, Dameon Pierce? For me right now I think it's Penny Stevenson Pollard Gordon Patterson Hunt Pierce
Penny Stevenson Patterson Pierce Pollard Hunt Gordon idk Gordon is the only one i would probably avoid
Penny Pierce Patterson Pollard Stevenson Hunt Gordon I have Penny and Pierce pretty far ahead of the rest. They're tiered with other RB1s in questionable situations (Montgomery, Akers, CEH, Edwards, etc.). Patterson is at the bottom of this group just because his production last year was so extraordinary compared to the rest of his career. Pollard, Stevenson, Hunt, and Gordon are in a lower tier, for RB2s that likely have good value. I have Pollard ahead of the others because he may be a valuable keeper if Zeke is done in Dallas and Pollard is the clear #1 next year. Those guys have lower ceilings than the RB1s unless there's injury, though I really like Pollard and Stevenson.
What do y'all think about this potential trade? I receive: Jalen Hurts (2nd rounder) Kyle Pitts (3rd rounder) Amon-Ra St. Brown (6th rounder) I give: Lamar Jackson (1st rounder) Michael Pittman (4th rounder) TBD but something decent, like Amari Cooper, Hunter Renfrow, or maybe Dameon Pierce My current TE is Gerald Everett and I like having a piece of the LAC passing offense but he's probably the 5th option. So I'm trying to trade for Pitts (who as a 3rd rounder may be an attractive keeper going forward) while not totally tanking my roster. So downgrades at QB, WR, and another quality roster player.
Is that an ESPN league? If so, I don't think they allow suspended players to go on IR but I could be wrong.
The challenge with 12 man superflex is there are only 32 starting QBs in the league, so if 4 teams have 2 and 8 have 3 rostered, all 32 are taken. So, when bye weeks come or if one of yours gets hurt, you suddenly have 1 Qb. If you have 2 good starters that avoid injury, it's fine to just run a WR/RB out there at SF for the two weeks, but the challenge becomes if one guy busts or gets hurt, there are typically no waiver options to fix it
well shit. i generally ignore byes and feel like a flex rb or wr for 1-2 weeks will be fine. but i completely dismissed the idea of injury and i have two running qbs that probably take more hits than most.
Is there anything going on with Antonio Gibson that I’m missing? Guy in my full PPR league just offered me Gibson for Raheem Mostert. Neither one is a starter for me— just bench depth—but I take that trade right?
the commies' coaches seem to hate gibson and he's been criticized by them in public a few times iirc. they also drafted robinson (rd3) and brought back mckissic ($7m contract for 2 years). finally, gibson has been playing in the preseason a fair amount, including with bigger roles in special teams. i can't remember if he practiced or played in preseason as a gunnar/non-returner, which is unheard of for a clear-cut rb1. having said that, mostert isn't even rostered in my league and id still prefer having gibson over him as his floor is basically 0.
Up to 2 Keeper league: 12 team PPR, 2 RB, 2 WR, Flex. Which of the following to pair with Jovantae Williams? - Diontae Johnson @ $22 - Travis Etienne @ $23 Can keep a player in perpetuity for +$5 each additional year.
Kinda where my mind was at with it. I hadn’t seen that Rivera pretty much confirmed gibson was going to be returning kicks though so that does give me some pause. I like Mostert if he can stay healthy so that has me second guessing myself
Think I’ve finally got my game plan for 12th pick in 12 team league. Grabbing the best RB available and then Debo with 13. For rounds 3/4 I’m grabbing Pitts if he’s there. If not then best wr/rb combo.
Sadly no. Liquidated some assets to chase Ridley before he quit playing/got suspended and the values on others have all gone belly up (Gibson for $10 would have been great before he turned into a pumpkin). Specific to value, I think both Etienne and Thompaon are roughly market value so I guess it as starting with 2 RB2 or and RB 2 and a WR2. Should be a number of RB 1s available so I'm inclined to take Thompson bit was curious on opinions
Probably but I’m looking for biggest upside in that spot. Going back and forth between him and Barkley as I think they have the highest ceilings.
