I’m getting back into collecting again now that my son is 10 and likes getting the random blasters/packs we find at Target. I think I’m going to mostly buy PSA10 rookie singles and stick to cheaper boxes when I feel like opening packs. Anyway, here’s my first purchase:
Make sure you check with texasraider as I’m pretty sure he gets a good rate on grading. Could be wrong though.
Cardboard Connection is showing that the base RPS autos are going to be #/150 for most of the rookies.
I am sure this has been brought up here before, but has anyone had trouble redeeming a code for a redemption? I have a Topps redemption and it keeps telling me my code is invalid.
I didn't have the same issue but call Topps customer service. They are actually fantastic. Helped me with an issue I had with a redemption.
I did the Fields redemption last night. It was my first time ever doing it and I had no issues. edit: missed the Topps part. mine was a Panini.
I did a redemption for a Surtain auto about two months ago w/Panini and had no issues. Just waiting. On the other hand I have a Topps Bobby Dalbec auto redemption that I scratched fuck out of but could never see a number. So I need to follow up with the Topps CS.
Wax prices have been lagging far behind the market correction. For whatever reason, singles (outside of the current untouchables) have fallen rapidly but wax prices haven't dropped much. Feels like it will be the next shoe to drop as people realize you literally can't succeed buying and ripping. Fun as hell? Of course. But be prepared to be kicked in the nuts on 95% of the boxes you open.
I've got a buddy who is looking to unload his vintage collection. If there is anything you are looking for, I can ask him.
To follow up on this in case anyone else has the same problem. I talked to Topps customer service, He said since the product I am trying to redeem just came out on Wednesday to give it about a week and it should be in the system by then.
not a bad haul. they really are top notch. Botched a Torkelson base image variation auto redemption out of 2021 minor league heritage numbered to 50 and I called and they told me to send it in and I got the card. #fuckpanini
My kid plays flag football in the same league as drew Brees kids. He saw drew after the last game and drew signed a bunch stuff for the kids on his way out. I had no idea but my kid had four cards on him just in case. He kept this one and gave the rest to his buddies My kid was “shaking”. Best /1 experience ever.
This was my thought today. I was searching through Justin Fields and Trey Lance roomie cards out of select and even if you hit a a /99 or so autograph it wouldn’t even pay for your spot in a break. Prices have to come down on wax don’t they? You can buy a Orange Disco of the rookie QBs for the same price as a blaster where you have what a 1 in 20 chance of hitting that cars? Yet people are paying 50 for a blaster and 120 for a mega. I like to rip wax for the hell of it and try and sell anything besides my PC or the big rookie QBs and it’s just not even cost effective at any point anymore. It’s just blows my mind people are still paying these prices.
These are both still in the assembly stage, so the grade could change, but I submitted two Pujols UD RCs and both are coming back as 10s.
