Had a guy from my hometown that went for drinks with his buddies. Had a few too many so was sleeping it off in the parking lot. It was winter, so turned the car on and had the heat going. He was backed up against a snow mound and never woke up.
One of the bartenders from my hometown had a couple too many after his shift. Went home, threw a frozen pizza in the oven, passed out, and never woke up.
Had a retired ME doctor tell me carbon monoxide was the best way to go, said you go to sleep and don't wake up. There is never a struggle like you would see in other cases
I feel like the odds of me dying from carbon monoxide poisoning have increased tenfold after reading this thread.
growing up my grandparents bought a carbon monoxide detector then the next time we stayed at their house they told us it kept going off so they took the batteries out
Today I mentally went over every appliance in my house just to make absolutely sure all of them are definitely electric and not fuel powered. And I know it's all electric but I still have the urge to go and buy CO detectors.
