yeah… gervais, and the subsequent apologia, sucks and makes this thread less fun. i can certainly handle the posts but that doesn’t mean we’re not all worse off for them. i definitely appreciate allies speaking up to run off transphobes.

Gervais is also a big "cancel culture" idiot. Not sure which came first, that or the transphobia but it makes sense when they're paired with each other
I genuinely apologize then. Was only intending to post the quote about him saying he would’ve made a boyfriend joke. And then I honestly wasn’t supporting him or his views in the following posts. Just arguing the ridiculous notion that because someone would post that or laugh at a Ricky Gervais joke makes them transphobic. Most people can separate the two. I’m not transphobic and am supportive of all people to make their own decisions, do what makes them happy, love who they want to love, and have as many partners as they choose. And I don’t ever want to intentionally offend anyone. Let alone someone in my favorite online community. So again, I’m sorry those posts made this thread less fun for you. And thank you and Rebel for making this thread so fun in the first place.

Defend transphobia? Not sure how you got that out of any of my posts. I was only talking about the ability to separate views/actions from entertainers. Never even said anything in defense of RG. admins can basically view everything on the board (all the sub boards) and do mostly anything afaik mods have basically no power or tools but are middle management protecting the admins from irritation. couldn't even tell you the last time I used one of the like 3 "tools" we have access to.
