How good was Lucas today? And Tanganga? When was the last time Spurs played with that much passion and energy? I’m fucking pumped.
That was literally the absolute best fucking outcome. You don’t dress Harry, so you show your team you believe in them. Then you go and get a clean sheet against the defending champion suitors. One game but means so much more and could impact the outcome, and only for the better.
Watching Sons reaction to the announcer saying Harry Kane won’t get his place back… “he will always, don't worry” and laughs.
Not a word from Kane on social media after the game. Pretty sure he always had post up within 20, 30 minutes after the final whistle previously.
Imagine the replies. Imagine the ratio. He should continue to stfu and call up City and relay the updated, increased price.
Happy to be wrong. Still buzzing. Some ITKs saying this is going to be a massive week for Spurs, for whatever that’s worth.
Didn’t get to watch the game as I was flying. Seems like everyone played really inspired today. Not sure the Ewing theory is going to hold up over the course of the season, but Nuno seems to have the guys bought in. Still love Harry and not mad he wants to leave. But fuck City and Pep. O and Sonny forever. God I love that guy.
Is there a replay online? I watched the 12 minute highlight video nbc has, but since I was out of town I didn’t dvr the game. Crowd seemed awesome.
You follow Luke? I have followed him since his days as an OSU writer then he ended up at one of the FUT sites.
I don't see one. I can download it and share it if you want. Highlights that long probably do the trick. First 15 minutes were sloppy but once we settled into our shape we were dangerous on the counter all game. Much more pressing defensively than Jose, and we tended to send two at an attacking player at a time, which was very effective. Everyone played great. Edit here it is... https://stream.nbcsports.com/premier-league/tottenham-hotspur-manchester-city
Given Sons reaction and there being posts about big news this week, I suspect this ITK is correct. Paratici set a time table. Of course if City come in with a huge bid let’s see what happens, but… from prof on coys From Guinevere: "Harry will be here this year. Danny set a price. City have never matched it and have repeatedly told him they won't. Now their time is up. Moving forward, City can make as many low-ball bids as they like but we're not going to enter into any negotiations with them. Harry (and Charlie) have been told that the farce is over. Nuno and Fabio now know what players and finances they have to work with, which gives them some needed clarity. Expect some sort of attempt at an image makeover by Harry. He knows the impact on the fans of the way this has been handled by his side."
To be fair, at least in my view, Harry has been fairly quiet. I feel like a lot of his current image has been framed by the media, which has been brutal imo. In my view, he said he wanted to leave, we tried, it may not happen, he isn't thrilled but he also isn't be a complete drama queen about it. There have been much worse situations with stars at other clubs in the past, if he goes or stays, either way I feel like overall it's been a mild distraction at worst, which isn't bad given the caliber of player we're dealing with
If he does indeed stay, he's going to have to perform quite well to avoid constant derision from the fans.
Re Kane, I'm probably in the minority here, but I personally think he should be sold this season if at all possible. It's Son Heung-min's team now.
I don't think you are in the minority. I absolutely want him sold if we can get the right price. That said, I can figure out a way to reconcile how I feel about him if he stays, performs and works to buy into the program (new contract).
I tend to agree now. I wouldn’t have a week ago. His silence yesterday following the match was deafening. The team seems unified without him.
this got a good chuckle from me https://cartilagefreecaptain.sbnati...tings-theme-of-photos-harry-kane-falling-over
“To be honest, it nearly got him in trouble early on and Anthony Taylor had to call Hugo over to tell Japhet to stop. He did not stop. I am happy about that.” this line cracked me up for some reason.
I genuinely think that Jose did not work them hard enough. Our reputation under Poch was for being the fittest and hardest working team. We clearly were gassed in the last part of games last year.
