Can someone explain to me how people think DeSantis has done a great job in Florida during Covid? Is it just because he allowed beach bars to maintain capacity?
He essentially washed his hands of everything while the local mayors took the lead and put in restrictions that weren't in any way restrictive (mask mandates but no real enforcement).
I think it's because he opened the state more quickly than a lot of other states, and did not see a great deal of variation in covid infections or deaths as compared to states that were much more restrictive.
