It sucks but keep trying. Fwiw the person who gave me my shot said they expect to be open for whoever wants one by 4/1. This was last week
Had my Moderna clinical trial 6 month blood draw yesterday. They don’t tell us the results but I’m still full of them antibodies
think I am going to try the fema sites next week. worried about not getting shot 1 or J&J before the massive open for everyone rush. Want to get the immunity timeline going
So I got my first dose of Moderna today and they wrote April 5th on my vaccination card as the date to return. Am I not mistaken that is 10 days early?
Florida FEMA sites are all under delivering vaccines because no one is showing up. If you can get a note then get it and go.
Supposed to get Moderna #2 on Tuesday and the (chain) doc in the box from which I received shot #1 is... out of vaccines. And has been for 3+ weeks now. Apparently, they gave out too many shots and didn't save, and there doesn't seem to be much of a backup plan besides telling people to go elsewhere. What a shit show.
It doesn't take much for that to happen. My daughter is trying her best to outdo her too. She is currently working two jobs to pay off her last wreck. That dominant trait was clearly passed down.
From what I can tell my county is opening up vaccines to everyone 16+ on April 18th. It’s subject to change based on availability/demand etc but that’s the first time I’ve seen an actual date.
I secured an appointment at Publix for this coming Tuesday! Perhaps I stretched my definition of “educator” a bit, but I do serve as an interpreter for my wife from time to time when she has to meet her students’ parents and they don’t speak English.
needles in arms as fast as possible is the moral imperative. unless you are literally ripping them away from seniors or food-service front-line poor people, you are doing the right thing.
People are definitely lying and stretching the truth to get shots before others who should get a call to receive the vaccine before them. Shots in arms is the imperative, but I’d omit morality.
Texans are acting about as well as could have been expected. NEWS Man stabbed fast food restaurant manager over mask dispute, League City police say League City police said the man refused to cooperate with the restaurant's mask policy before pulling out a knife and stabbing the manager. https://www.khou.com/mobile/article...pute/285-5e515fcb-ca34-47c1-8eda-45c2a7bf6708
To be fair, I did select the latest possible appointment time and that’s right before the walk-ins show up to take a chance at the leftover doses.
They have so many unused doses that this was an easy way to just open this up to 75% of adults. I'm glad they did, we're still way freaking behind most of the country.
Arm still slightly sore 48 hours after first Pfizer dose and I was sleepy af yesterday. Not a huge a deal.
You guys think you have it bad? President T is a 6’3” bear of a man with rippling muscles and he barely qualified for the vaccine!
Glass case of emotion today. Got a good tip that getting to Sam's club around 4:30 gives you a decent enough chance. When I got there though 8 people were in front of me. But the pharmacy was saying to stay in line and we would know by 5:30. So that's better than a no! By 5:30, 7 people got the shot from the line. So I missed it by 2. BUT since they had open appointments tomorrow, they gave the next 5 people those openings instead of telling us to just go home. So now I have an appointment at 10:30 and I'm pretty sure it's a "show up and get your shot" with no more eligibility issues So And just happy that this pharmacy is obviously trying to just help as many people as they can.
Damn so the state of Nebraska is opening it up to the next phase of people (50+ years old) on Monday, but I guess the county I live in which is the biggest in the state is not included in this yet. I assume there’s more demand here than small-town Nebraska. There’s also a “controversy” because my county went rogue (in the eyes of the state) and is allowing all telecom employees (Verizon, Sprint, Cox, etc.) access to the vaccine. No matter their actual job within the companies. My city/county might be like a month behind everyone else in the state. Hoping that mid-April date still holds true but starting to wonder now.
this thread is pretty much ppl just bitching about vaccinations in their town and state now you did it right
Update! Shot 1 installed Also if I got moderna and my wife got Pfizer....so we have to get a divorce?
