So fucking predictable. How are we so terrible at set pieces? Mark your fucking man, it's not that hard.
Undone by our finishing for the second match in a row. Bergwijn and Kane have to get one of those two between them.
I agree against smaller clubs, but Pool would’ve smoked us if we tried to play football against them.
Yea this style had us dangerously close to 3 points if players could make the plays when given the chance.
Kane’s was even worse all things considered. Free header from 8 yards out that wasn’t even remotely close to being on target.
We've seen him try the header into the ground in order to beat the keeper but it was not well-executed in this instance.
One of the hardest things to do with a team like Spurs with these tactics is to look at a game like this and realize they played great. It's so much easier to say the team on the front foot dominated, but that is not objectively accurate when you have a different strategy, which is to win. I do think we played well minus the clinicality.
I agree with Jose that Jurgen was an idiot on the sideline and if it was Jose he would have been skewered.
Imagine if Jose acted like Pep towards the 4th official yesterday when he was putting up the extra time board. I thought Pep would get killed for it in the postgame, and...nothing.
For all the Mourinho criticisms, some of which are valid, Opta had big chances 4-0 for us and xG 1.15-0.96 for us. Good article in the athletic this morning if you have it. I’ll post later this afternoon.
Created the chances to win, needed to take them. Stevie is such a tough one. He gets in the positions but he hasn’t been converting the chances presented.
I still feel pretty good about where we are as a whole, yesterday's result aside. If we stay healthy we will be right up there for the stretch run.
South Koreans are getting taller with improved childhood nutrition as compared to when his parents grew up (because of the devastation from the Japanese occupation and then the civil war and a corrupt dictatorship, SK was pretty poor well into the 60s and 70s)... still, that's a big height difference so it's probably mostly freak genes.
