I’d rather not watch basketball schools who are more successful than us at the only collegiate sport I give a fuck about.
We go from playing for the West this week to the bottom of the B10 next week* *PSU currently down 21-0 vs Maryland
ready for McCaffery but I see disturbing shades of Taylor Martinez in him at times. he is going to turn the ball over more than the average bird, thats nearly a given. just a matter of whether he can move the team more efficiently otherwise.
My mental health is already declining. I’m just gonna grind this season through and then probably go off the deep end, or get on medication. Probably the former
Ehhh, I’m pretty sure that’s where the heightened anxiety comes from in the first place. Honestly, if I could quit, I would.
Since he committed my opinion was Smothers would be the best of all three. I hope to god I’m right on that. Hopefully, Harry Potter and Frosty don’t fuck that up before he gets to play.
Where can I watch the post game press conference? Only northwestern has theirs up as far as I can find.
I went from never touching a drug in HS. To closing live baseball games in juco with a pipe in the bullpen. That slowly progressed into me buying grams every day in college, through coaching, and then realizing I didn’t want to be a hypocrite so I quit coaching and started to consume over an OZ a week. I’ve cut it back, but the amount of money I’ve wasted makes me sick
Forgot about that dude. I guess at the time when Smothers committed it was just the 3 current guys. That’s why I said that.
I maybe drink 1-2 times every 3 months. Embarrassingly enough have never attended a Nebraska game drunk
Why do we play with an aged football? Just saw tua’s brother launch a nice long TD pass w a fresh football. Made me think.
Video games and weed go hand in hand. I bought Kingdom Come Deliverance because of you. Not too far in yet, but it’s way more in depth than I ever thought
It’s really tough in the beginning, but gets fun. It’s a game where you genuinely feel like you earned everything you get. Save a lot. Learn how to make the save potion and always carry some on your horse. I may play it again. I skipped through a bunch of the cutscenes and after finishing wish I wouldn’t have.
I’ve just fully accepted we’ll never be good again and enjoy it a lot more. Also I watch way more CFB from non-Husk teams than I used to
Too many resources to not bumble fuck our way back into being competitive again one day. But the 90s will never happen again.
But that mindset is bullshit because our talent and resources aren't even in the same ballpark as NW. We *CAN* be good again
Apparently it is. there’s no way with our talent we should be this bad. Bad QB play hurts, but at some point you have to clean up your act. We can bitch all we want about penalties, but 75% are justifiable. False starts and offsides are unacceptable. Play calling that’s generic as fuck, unacceptable. White WRs that aren’t on scholarship, unacceptable. Our offense isn’t even close to UCF or Oregon. The lines are improving drastically, but at what point, what year do we have to be in to actually clean up the little things. If you recruit talent and they don’t see the field, that’s on the coaches. We can act like Omar is a prima donna, Fleming maybe too. Or maybe they’ve been practicing and seeing who is getting more reps and they’re wondering wtf? I honestly have no idea what’s going on internally, but it doesn’t take year 3 to clean up the little things and that’s what costs us against any team not named OSU.
Oh and we desperately need spring football in the Midwest, specifically Nebraska. I don’t give a shit about Iowa or any other northern school. Not having spring, or 7 on 7 tourneys does nothing for our youth development.
Really need to emulate whatever the high school volleyball players are doing to develop stupid in state talent and just apply it to football as much as possible. D2 Diller-Odell has two girls that are National top 150 croots; that’s outrageous
I’m just fucking livid. I interned at McNeese the spring after the Nebraska game. They were nowhere fucking close talent wise, they had a god damn white corner who was the biggest bitch I’ve ever seen. Yet they take our Nebraska team to the brink of a loss. Our program is fucked, and it’s going to take a truly special coach/QB to get us back on the right path.
They play year round, all the time. They have club volleyball, they don’t have an off-season. Nebraska’s instate football lasts from what, late July to early December and then nothing
It’s impossible but sometimes it would be nice if Nebraska could just start over. Having to adhere to some BS “blue print” or the “Nebraska Way” is just a joke. I don’t care how we win or who’s coaching, I just want to win. To me in a weird way I think that’s why I’m way more invested in Nebrasketball. It just feels like a small group of rag tag fans/players that might be good, they might suck, but they at least give a f***.
Yeah, I figured as much. The main point being that with the work, Nebraska can actually produce D1 talent
I feel like there’s too much pressure internally and it comes from us fans too, obviously. We make small mistake after small mistake, and then compound it into a big blow. It never fails. If you fuck up? Own it, fix it, and make the play next time.
Spring football will never happen in Nebraska, but 7 on 7 leagues are definitely happening in the summer.
I think it’s a smart move on his part. When rivals crashes and that cash dries up he can always be a weatherman on TV. I mean he’s got the face for it.
Watching DJ and Book and was enjoying until I realized I was enjoying because of competent QB play :(
Game takeaways: --Pavelk's backyard game was strong --good husking weather in November --no more fascists in the white house in 2021 --feel zero despair about husker losses anymore because covid, tyranny and coach frost being a complete piece of shit --congrats to the better state, coach, team and university on their win
