Great read. Two thoughts Twisted Metal was a great game If my math is correct when I was roughly chldskrts age I was beating Halo's campaign on legendary. I would have shit all over that chump at being nerdy
POTW music in that game brings back all the memories. Had similar reminiscing about FF6. Struggled a lot as a kid, as a college kid with an emulator fucking demolished it. my oldest is now about the age I started playing all the FF games, wonder if it’s time to open up Pandora’s box yet. next question has adltskrt beat the emerald/ruby weapons yet?
I got tossed around by emerald 'pon a few tims and gave up. He's not the mission. Couldn't remember which one ruby 'pon was, remembering spending an entire day losing to that asshole back when I was a kid
nothing has ruined the sports viewing experience more than instant replay. Been watching so many old games recently (given these uncertain times!) and its striking how the games actually flowed compared to now. Granted officials didn't really call much of anything back in the 80s or 90s, in any sport, but I can't say it was worse that way. Now every game gets stopped half a dozen times so these modern refs can get their screen time reviewing stupid shit in the second quarter. GTFO. Limit replay to the final 2 minutes of all sports so they don't egregiously blow a game, everything else will even out. Other changes that are needed for the overall improvement of sports: 1. NBA back to NBC for theme song reasons 2. Bring back the tear away belly shirts in college football, as well as black visors and oversized shoulder pads. 3. The tightening of the taunting rules has been a major detriment to both NBA and college football. Its crazy what was allowed. 4. They don't make em like Keith Jackson anymore 5. Need more parity in CFB. Might be smart to put Bama, Clemson, OSU, UGA, and OU on probation for the next decade. The 80s and 90s were great. Randomly a team like BYU or Georgia Tech could just win a natty. 6. Neutral site games in cfb suck. If I wanted a corporate atmosphere I would watch the NFL got eem. 7. Need to bring back running thru a students section to get onto the field.
The NBA needs to stop calling so many fouls on obvious flops and James Harden like shenanigans. They also need to immediately T up anyone complaining to the refs. They should also ban instant replay. additionally they should go back to no 3 point line, change out the hoops for peach baskets, and make everyone shoot free throws underhanded.
Been saying this for years. When they went away from the peach baskets the integrity of the game was lost forever.
And don’t forget tight short shorts so we can see the outline of the players dongs...I mean, to allow for proper footing to execute a 2 handed bounce pass.
Dirt is letting his homoerotic tendencies cloud his judgement again. If we truly want to fix the game we need to go back the uniform in its purest form.
I kicked 2 of 3 kegs currently on tap at my friend's house where I am currently staying. I'm not even drub. I feel like a d*ck and an alcoholic, all while being (mostly) sober. Just the worst.
Lol wtf? Eighth grader from Nebraska commits to play baseball at Florida State https://www.omaha.com/sports/high-s...cle_2bc9cfea-7a81-5939-81ff-c5d162f995bf.html
lol 6’3 185 in 8th grade. Always interested to see how this stuff plays out, baseball and basketball have super early commitments, but always seems like a risk especially in baseball. I swear Nebraska baseball has a similar commit, I’ll have to look it up.
Yeah, especially baseball. I mean if he actually ends up being that great in 4 yrs he'll likely take the millions from MLB.
Yeah, nothing against this kid, but definitely higher odds an early commit ends up in the draft or fizzles out. At least I would imagine.
Although its not binding I'm still probably not letting my kid commit to a college when he's 13 or 14.
Wish someone could just crop that video down to the first 0:50 of Husker silently nodding with the Forrest Gump theme
Turnpike guys, this is Kyle Nix's first solo track. Pretty damn solid, his backing band is Turnpike themselves.
