Well if we do that then we are beating OSU. My prediction is we beat Illinois...generally looking OK/decent like this last week. Then come out against OSU crazy hyped. Get beat by 40.
goddamn conjunctivits Ts and Ps requested as myself and the rest of house crynasty #conjunctifightthis
Houndster say something about not knowing who The Cars or Eddie Money are and I promise you will pray for death before it is finished.
I know Eddie Money from his guest appearance on King of Queens. Not sure who The Cars are unless you’re referencing the critically acclaimed Disney movies
We finally got all of our plans finalized for the Nebraska/Ohio State game. Staying in Omaha on Friday at the Embassy Suites. Likely golfing early that afternoon. Then heading to Lincoln first thing Saturday. There were literally zero rooms available besides the Sunset Inn and Suites. We had rooms booked there but my god at the reviews. I was constantly checking for room openings and one came available on Friday at the Graduate. Paying out of our ass for it but well worth the upgrade and location. I’m really looking forward to this trip. It should be a blast.
I, too, will be coming back for that game. Please recognize my love for Husker football and shower me with likes accordingly.
Not sure yet...one of my buddies that is coming with was figuring all of that out. I’ll let you know if we need a recommendation. He’s part of some commercial development in Omaha so he is pretty familiar with the area.
^^^remember dis hoe I was wrong. I'm bored on a day off and a huge d*rk so I challenged my assumptions with data. #Wisconsin Badgers nerds may find this interesting as well. Looked back at OL classes comparing UNL to UW from 2005-2017 (from the earliest point high 3*s became a thing to the last class where we'd expect contributors this season). All recruits listed as OL were counted regardless of whether they ended up elsewhere. Except #longsnapping, they were left the fuck out. Used all rivals data During that tim: UNL signed 52 OL, 17.3% of their total signees being OL UW signed 44 over the same period, 16% of their total Of UNL's OL signees, 58% were rated 5.7 3* or higher. 29% 4* or higher (38% and 13% respectively for UW ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME) So, UNL recruited more OL by total and percentage, rated by rivals to be significantly better. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- How'd they do? All-conference data from 2008-2018. Only counted coaches selections by convention. UNL: 8 total selections (2 first team, 6 second team) UW: 24 total selections (15 first, 7 second, 2 third ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME) ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Who was selected? UNL: 6 unique players earned selections. 0...(!!!) of them had been 5.7 3* or greater. 2 were walk-ons, one was a transfer in UW: 16 unique players earned selections. Only 2 (!!!) had been 5.7 or higher (Carimi, Oglesby). Of note, 4 of the last 6 players who were selected the last two seasons were recruited (at least according to rivals) as something else (2 TEs, 1 DE, 1 DT) Of the 22 OL between UNL and UW who earned All-con honors 2008-2018, only 3 were >300 as a recruit, and 10 were <270 ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Ol pnk$krt's hard core hot as hell takes based on limited data: 1. Why do we GAF about our OL's star ratings? Yeah yeah yeah, our 4*s are cursed. Hey, not a single UW 4* OL has earned all conference honors the last 10 years either. Commercial ratings are just too limited to accurately project OL 2. Except 5*s. Those are probably going to be very good. 3. probably something to Frost/Austins pursuit of long, lean athletic OL prospects. Ask UW, a 260 lbs OL recruit is likely gonna do bigger things than a portlyman.
Volleyball is a good program unlike men’s sports. cook’s teams overperform more than they underperform
Also, we haven't had a first team all-conference OL in 7 years. None at all in 4 years. 1998 12 year old pnk$krt is seizing on the floor
Avg # of years UW's all-con OL had been in the system when first selected? 3.1 years. fIx It nOw CoRcH aWsTiN!
A loss this early in the season isn't a big deal at all. I just meant they haven't looked very convincing so far and I won't be surprised if they lose.
I’m gonna go out on a limb and blame a lot of our offensive line woes on our offensive identity. I’m still trying to figure out what our offense is trying to be this year and I consider myself pretty knowledgeable. It’s hard to block if the scheme is always changing and your expected to be running what I feel is multiple offensive schemes. Not saying that’s all of it, we still look like vaginas in the run game, but it could be a contributing factor. The playcalling is all over the fuckin map.
I just realized I have to fucking teach during the game thanks to the glory that is China cutting out days and just moving them to other parts of the calendar for their week-long laziness national holidays.
That's probably the biggest wtf of Frost's regime. We've been running some hybrid spread power running pass screen zone read I formation option wishbone pro style west coast bullshit for over a decade. Beck and Watson seemed like they watched film of good teams and tried to just take the plays that worked with no actual vision of an identity. At least Frankie had a scheme and ran it.
time to circle back around and check in on how the Chip Kelly regime is going at UCLA. they're currently 0-3 with a loss to SDSU. Chip has hit the recruiting trail running this year however, as he has scooped up nearly every 5.4 and 5.5 player in California and beyond (only one out of their 11 commits is a 4 star). honestly i dont think he could be doing a worse job if he tried, its amazing. they could legitimately go winless.
