Today: -Early work and dealing with IT to resolve an issue to do said work -Finish actual job to do online training for scary things like *not slipping on a wet floor* - have a permanent cap put on a tooth - get ready to go to a work function at a high-end bar to suck up to buyers *during the last two things I was subjected to 10 minutes of Nebrasketball*
If the last part doesn’t seem bad, realize I’m old and the idea of a work event starting at 7 and going to midnight seems like hell when the alarm will go off at 5:30 the following morning.
"If they fire me, they're still going to pay me. … I'm still a millionaire," Miles told Goodman. "So I've got that going for me." Can't wait to fire this piece of shit. https://journalstar.com/sports/husk...cle_72bdd083-0027-5015-94d1-898840b57acf.html
I haven’t listened but that seems like a quote easily taken out of context as he’s been nothing but positive of the fans and program every step of the way while being candid about his future. I could be wrong and he’s just pissed and burning things down on the way out. Dude has had enough time and will deservedly be fired. He did make a tournament while trying to actually recruit good players, something his 2 predecessors apparently had no desire to do. Not sure how he’s a piece of shit. It didn’t work out and that sucks because we not only start over but the reboot button is being pushed by a man who hired Ernie Kent not once, but fucking twice. Very cautiously optimistic on who we hire but I’ll be there next year hoping for the best like always.
I kinda think that's a hilarious quote, actually. It's all true, and I'd have the exact same attitude, especially after my team just shat the bed and I was answering questions about my job to the media. I've always liked him. Winning at Nebrasketball will be hard as hell for anybody.
Didn’t this come from the plumbers? If so, that place absolutely never has an axe to grind. Not saying it’s not true, but when it comes to something like that, who exactly knows.
Will be interesting to see how he spreads out his next 90 unofficial visits if he commits to us. I would guess he takes 40 to Nebraska, 20 to KU, 10 to KSU, 10 to Colorado, and 5 each to Missouri and Oklahoma.
Just doing a little shit talking. I see the Tigers and Cardinals are playing in the subdustrict final tomorrow.
When is the first day of spring practice? Coming up soon and we need some non-legal non-AD non-basketball news.
Shouldn't have apologized. A guy should be allowed to be flippant. Also, for the record, Tom Osborne IS a crusty old fuck.
Sipple getting all ass hurt about that quote was very on brand for him. Just an embarrassing set of opinions he carries around.
Makes me laugh at how fans will say “Don’t feel bad for X, he still got his buyout”. Yet when a coach says it in an obviously sarcastic way, people get all worked up.
Also I’m pretty sure his point was to say that when you’re on the hot seat you worry about all sorts of stuff, especially from a family/financial standpoint. At least in this case he isn’t worried financially, which isn’t always the case for coaches at mid major type programs.
