Wonder what Magary (who I like) thinks about all of this. What I think is so weird is the tribalism between these sites, as if you can't enjoy PFT without supporting Dave's harrassment. Why can't I enjoy some of Barstool's content and hate some of the rest of it? Deadspin's weird insistence that laughing at a single Barstool joke enables racism and misogyny worldwide is just pathetic.
laura wagner has an awesome job. all she does is research every piece of barstool content to try to find problematic stuff. she follows it all more than i do
Yeah, he was the one who gave PFT his start. I just think the whole thing reads like trying to get PFT to come work for Deadspin as [REAL NAME REDACTED]. I actually do think there's something to her argument that PFT wants to distance himself from Barstool, but to publish his name as a competitor is petty as fuck, and probably only solidifies the relationship between PFT and Barstool.
i'm guessing pft and dave dont have the best relationship becuase of all the stuff with bvt. in the article he specifically asked for barstool guys to not harass wagner and it looks like he specifically asked dave not to. just like all of us--just because you work somewhere doesn't mean you have to endorse all of what your employer says and does?
