Am I the only one who likes Sony over Chubb??? How about trade #1 pick to buffalo for AJ Mc, 12, 22 and bills #1 next year You have two years with a known NFL QB with 1 playoff win for this season & 5 picks in the first two rounds this year (after the trade). If after 1 season you see that AJ is not the QB of the future, you now have 2 first round picks for the 2019 draft to use to trade up if needed. Draft your QB in 2019 and Have AJ for 1 more season while you bring along whom ever you draft next year. There is no Manning/Luck in this years draft. All have high bust possibly so spending a #1 or #4 pick this year is as much a gamble as waiting for next years crop.
This is what I was referencing and i can't excuse my lapse. Was just thinking draft and Chubb being available with one of the 2nd round pics
take the Sony/Chubb laughable offense out of the post and what's dumb about the trade I'd explore None of this years crop scream 15 year starter. AJ has started and won in the NFL You pick up 3 1st round picks over 2 years and a QB Do you think buffalo won't pay that much???
I do this and try to pick Barkley at 4 if he's there, then go for Lamar Jackson and the top defensive player at 22.
I mean, it's all up for debate at this point. Draft day the movie is my fantasy football every year, so the Browns are my perfect team right now. Wheel and deal and build the roster.
Qb at 1, trade back from 4 for 12,22, and a 2nd. Trade back up to 7-8 using 12 and 2 2’s. Take ward. Then 22 take price or other oline . Collect Lombardi trophy.
I said it in the draft thread, if a team wants to trade up to 4 from somewhere outside the top 7, I want a fuck ton. We don't need more picks, we need great players. Unless a team is looking to give a ridiculous haul, stay at 4 and take a great player. I'd be happy with Chubb, Fitzpatrick, Ward, or Nelson at 4.
If we already have a price negotiated to go back up to 7 or 8 so we can get ward or Fitzpatrick I’ll trade back all day if we’re getting our guy
That just feels like outsmarting yourself. We have a ton of picks, if Dorsey does his job, we'll leave day two with 3-4 contributors next year. I think they'll take a QB at 1, BPA at 4, and trade back up into the late 20's to get a player they want for 5 years.
with the jets trading up, i'm not sure the 4 is valuable enough to net that kind of value. there's a very real possibility qbs go 1-3. at least 2 are gone but the time buffalo gets their shot at 4. that's an awful lot of capital to surrender for what might be josh allen or lamar jackson. think if they trade, it's with NYG, and the only way the giants decline is if they go qb themselves
Fully on the Darnold & Barkley/Fitzpatrick/Chubb/Ward train. If you can trade back to pick 5-6-7, I'd do it.
He reminds me more of Jameis Winston which I would take. According to Schefty today, NYG is willing to swap picks and give up a 2nd rounder and 2019 1st rounder with Cleveland to get Sam Darnold (who NYG prefers and apparently CLE is still sweet on Allen). I'm thinking there could be a chance the Giants think the Bills or Jets could outbid them for #1.
His pro day is Friday. Dorsey, Hue, and Hillbilly Jim will be making the trip. Baker Mayfield's private workout/interview is tomorrow apparently.
Right. But there's a difference in moving to 2 and moving to 6. They don't really have enough with that 6th pick and others. I wouldn't move to 2 if darnold is who you want, though
Only teams theoretically that could put a package for 1-1 would be Giants and Bills. I'd make them pay out the ass tho.
Darnold's pro day. I am a Rosen/Mayfield man, but I can see why the FO would like Sam. BTW, the comments section is a tough crowd lol.
Darnold at 1 with Tyrod taking the punishment, while they build up the Offense more, is a good plan for Cleveland. For once.
I really like Barkley, but Hyde and Duke is a competent duo to go along with a good receiving corps. Almost lean toward Chubb as edge rushers have better durability and can be more transformative to a team.
Taking Barkley at 4 when you can get Penny or Michel later is silly. I have a feeling we take McGlinchey at 33 or 35
