According to The Wrestling Observer Newsletter, WWE is reportedly looking to use Ronda Rousey to help make Stephanie McMahon a bigger star by upping her mainstream status. WWE is planning on booking Stephanie and Triple H vs. Rousey and an unknown male star (the Rock or Kurt Angle) for WrestleMania 34. While Stephanie is a big name in wrestling, she’s not a mainstream star. WWE hopes Rousey will do for Stephanie what Mike Tyson did for Steve Austin in the eyes of the mainstream.

This article lead me to this match and it has everything from Hogan completely missing on 2 boots to the face on Virgil and Dibaise to Andre grabbing a handful of Hogans balls and throwing him from the top rope at the 3:20 mark to the absolute worst hip toss Ive ever seen that Vince referred to as a suplex leading to a weird finish which led to face off between identical Dave Hebners to Hogan almost killing Earl Hebner by almost throwing him over the heads of everyone meant to catch him to a beautiful disaster of a promo by Hogan

 

Holy shit that crowd was hot. So sad to see Andre barely able to move. When he fell over during that boot . Ventura was so good on color (Graves has a ton of Ventura in him). Also this was an all time great swerve. I was so fucking mad as a little kid.

No, im with you there. I get why do the match and actually I’ll enjoy it if for nothing else then my love of the rock and the back and forth on the mic between him and HHH, but Vince setting that match reasoning that Rhonda’s fame will get Stephanie over main stream is very Vince and very woof (and also won’t work).

 

Supposedly the plan for WM is to have Bliss vs Nia for the title which would put Asuka on SD so Im guessing Ronda is going to Raw and they just want to keep Asuka and Ronda seperate

 

Just watched Survivor Series on DVD - Lesnar v Styles is match of the year for me. Well booked, brilliant pacing & perfectly executed by both guys.

And seriously, how good is AJ? Probably in the top 3 guys I think I've ever seen (Bret Hart would be in there, and I'd have to think about the other guy - maybe Jericho?).

 

I spent more time watching this than i should have. 6 stars

 

You could see the talent in AJ back in 2004 in TNA. Same with Gargano in Prime Wrestling out of Cleveland back in 2012.

 

Hmmm Jericho, Michaels, and Hart were all very good performers. That's my top 3.
