Recruiting a punter to retire from the NFL to join the company is one. Recruiting an active ESPN employee to quit and join Barstool would be a massive wake up call IMO
Believe the espn statement was that he essentially said “thanks but no thanks” to their offer to pursue “other creative avenues” - imo that’s him saying you’re offer is nice but it’s not big enough to keep me from leaving for Barstool.
Sounds like he's going to still have a podcast with them, but I'm saying if he left ESPN on his own accord and then joined barstool.
I don’t see SVP’s reasoning for staying at espn, he’s served his time there and would be allowed to do whatever he wanted at barstool
SVP not willing to leave his own show for Barstool? Next you’re gonna tell me Bob Ley won’t leave Outside The Lines.
God damnit! Was just catching up and was gonna order one cause I knew that C&D was coming with the quickness.
Those shirts will go down in history as the first step of the nfl's demise and one day be worth millions. Sorry bro.
They were still on Fanatics.com, so I just placed an order. Wonder if Barstool could ever get a licensing deal with Nike and do Saturdays are for the <insert college team name>
I’d probably take a 25% paycut to work for barstool. If that required me to move to NYC, it’d probably work out to a 66% hit in disposable income. So, SVP would probably accept $750k.
Big Cat, with PFT and/or Rone, is getting a Sirius radio show that starts at 6 eastern. Not sure where this got leaked/announced, but I guess they will start making decisions on the lineup soon. source: Big Cat's twitter
