Mike Nugent and Cairo Santos both available. Fucking Aguayo makes one of those. Jesus fucking Christ.
That 2nd and 2 toss sweep call with the pats loading the box was straight garbage, then kicking the Fg from 49 put it over the top
I know that most of the time when in complaining there's probably some high level shit I'm not seeing or getting but by God that sequence was fucking brutal
Brate had a nice day in fantasy for me but he probably dropped another 15 fucking points on the field
the decision to kick a 50 yard FG with folk instead of going for it on 4th and 2 was unimaginably dumb
Offense very disappointing so far, thought they'd be lighting teams up. Especially the worst defense in the league so far this year. Jameis just playing average too, but his receivers never help. Some of those poor balls he throws slightly behind should still be caught as a NFL receiver/back. Hope they get into a groove soon.
The deep ball inaccuracy and obviously the kicking game were the difference. You get the Pats committing that many penalties and you have to make them pay. Can't believe he kept sending Folk out there.
7+ billion people on earth and we can't find 1 person who can kick field goals in the NFL. Koetter's play calling and in game personnel decisions are baffling to me. Doug is gashing the Pats every time, but let's keep throwing it with a QB who is inconsistent with ball placement even on easy throws. Koetter is equally culpable as Folk for this loss, maybe moreso. If Martin had 25+ attempts, we might not have even needed to trot Folk out there.
agree, have no idea why they went away from the run. If anything it would have taken some pressure off of Winston and opened up the pass game a little more. the kicking game is brutal
Not ready to give up on Jameis yet, and not because I'm a FSU fan. He's 23 and still making youth mistakes when you can't do that to teams like a Tom Brady led team even though it was currently the worst defense. But he still needs to calm down and check it down, because he locks on his favorite players like I do when I'm playing Madden. I'm glad to see there was more of a connection with Desean though, and he got over 100 yards. I'm not ready to give up on VH3 either, as much as I don't like his height, he is going up against some of the best, if not the best, WRs in the league. He's still young and going to get better. We need help at Corner, Safety, OL. The rest of the pieces are there. We played that game without Kwon, Lavonte, Ward and Tandy. That's personnel who would have taken away some of those completions and runs that kept the Patriots' drives going at times. Especially when they don't have Gronk, we should have capitalized. And yes, the playcalling was abysmal and we committed some stupid penalties. Kicking is fucked. It's the reason we lost games last year, it will be the reason again why we lose more this year. At this time, any veteran kickers and their agents have so much leverage to come to Tampa and get PAID. And I hope it happens...Jameis can take this offense down the field, I will take his mistakes here and there but if we make the kicks, we win games. He's a stubborn 23 yr old who wants to make the big play. He wants to win and has that desire, the team still respects the kid and follows him because of that drive and you don't want to get rid of that unless we just want to be the Browns..
Someone tag me when Folk gets cut today. I would like to know right away. I'd also like to see Conte get a shot at K so we can cut him in two games.
I will say I am surprised at how much earlier success Dak and Watson had than him. He looked pretty bad his first month and those guys just game in like it was college.
He has good tools but he also isnt as careless as Jameis has been. 7 Ints in 21 starts is really nice.
In my completely uninformed and non educated opinion: 1. Koetter 2. Folk 3. Jameis 4. Dropped passes Granted, I was about 10 coors lights deep in a south tampa dive bar and didn't really watch every play. The offensive game plan has needed remodeling for over a year. Either it doesn't fit Jameis or Jameis is an idiot and tries to do too much. I also feel like we abandon the run way too early. Also, have we ever run to set up the pass? Always feels the other way around.
We inexplicably abandoned the run after Martin drove us down the field for a TD. If he had 25 carries last night, we're not even talking about Folk today imo. As for Jameis, when he isn't trying to do to much, he's just flat out missing guys. His deep and short ball placement has been awful this year. The system is fine, Koetter and James just need to be better.
