Lemar talk seems to have fallen off a little, but the Douglas Costa talk has been strong the last week or so.

By all accounts, Onomah bossed central midfield for the U20's today in the final. It will be interesting to see if Poch starts to give him a look there instead of on the wing.

I'm on the CIES website on a weekly basis usually, love their information. They love them some Tottenham. Earlier this year they came out with squad values and we were only behind Barcelona and Madrid, and had by an overwhelming margin the best spend to current value ratio. Something like 600m profit. If you take the top 4 players of ours on this list we spent about 23m combined (Kane homegrown, Dele 5M, Dier 5M, Eriksen 13M or so) and they are now valued by an independent organisation at 420m, fucking unreal. This board needs a Levy smiley. One of him staring directly into your soul would work nicely for most occasions.
Harry and Hugo will both be captaining their respective sides during the France-England friendly today, which is cool for us. Harry isn't full time captain yet, these two matches are something of a trial basis. I'd imagine it will probably come down to him, Henderson, or Cahill whenever Southgate decides on a permanent captain.
Rumors have been making the rounds the past few days about us activating Ricardo Pereira's release clause (around 20M) with Porto as a direct replacement for Walker. He has been impressive on loan at Nice for the past two seasons. I can fuck with that, we will bank like 25M in profit and replace Walker with a quality younger player. I don't think we can rely on Walker-Peters yet as the first line of defense if something happened to Trippier. I do want him to be more involved with the first team this season though, playing cup matches and whatnot.
Poch likes to keep our top prospects close to the first team, Onomah has said he wants to come fight for a spot and impress the manager this summer. I think Poch will give him that chance before sending him out on loan, hopefully. If he is way down the pecking order then I'd be alright with him going out and getting first team experience elsewhere.
CM is tough to break into with this squad, though. Maybe he still likes him on the wing, but his performances with U-20 centrally were very impressive.
Instead of blowing money on this Jean Michael Seri fella I would prefer we just try and work Onomah into the mix. Spend that money on Lemar and call it a day. Do we know how long Winksy is out for? I haven't read shit about that, hopefully he is ready to go before the season starts.
First two matches are kind of shitty. Opening weekend against a newly promoted side who we were shit against in recent memory, then our first match at home is the defending champions. Gives us a chance to make an opening statement though. The end of January into February will be important as will October into November with some tricky fixtures. Should do well over the holidays.
Counter point, get a couple "tougher" ones out of the way early and go on a big run through fall/winter.
I just don't buy it. Why is the price tag hanging from different sleeves on the home and away? You'd think that would be something that remains constant. Basically the same design in different colors, usually the style is mixed up between the different kits and not just a color change.
Home kit matches what I posted and away kit matches what you posted days ago, so there's a good bit of smoke around these designs.
If these are real I just hope they look better when modeled, they are fairly underwhelming. There is only one of each in the photos not like an entire rack in a store somewhere, so they could just be one offs. That is my hope at least. The quality on them is extremely poor, look at the uneven neckline on the blue one. Definitely doesn't look like something that passed an inspection at Nike.
The more I look at it, the more I agree. Our logo is the tits, kind of makes it look generic. Gonna hold out final opinion until the kits are actually announced by the team, rumored date for the unveil is July 1st.
