Our assessment also went up substantially. To be fair, the value they come up with is pretty accurate if not a little low
I bought my place in November and they were listed as $55. They are not $55 anymore or anywhere close to that.
Atlanta Food and wine fest. Tickets are $$$ but it is the best food fest atl puts on. I am in town for a wedding out on lake Lanier
Seems like some jumped based only off the most recent sales price and others in my neighborhood are still at lower prices...
Friend recommended Kimball House for my birthday last Wed. Very damn good, not sure how you hipsters pay that much on a regular basis when eating out though.
Did rathbun steak for the anniversary tonight. Ladybird aftwrwards. Great, right? On our way to havana for vip and free drinks.. Hold me.
Well before the kiddo, I still didn't eat out at only fancy places which it seems most of y'all do. Since we live off Buford Hwy it's mostly asian cuisine.
L Ladybird too. We met a couple at the bar before our table was ready. My bil and sil are enroute. They're taking us. I have no clue where my car will be in the morning.
Yeah it was pretty damn good. They don't have their liquor license yet, at least when we went a few weeks ago, and their menu is a huge picture book. It can be difficult to make a decision, but that's not necessarily a bad thing.
Heading down Friday for a couple nights for our 5th anniversary. Was looking at Rathbun's or Bones Friday night. Any other upper scale suggestions? Got free tickets to see Avett Brothers Saturday at Fox Theater and my wife is wanting to check out the Ponce City Market. I'll probably try and snag a hotel in the Midtown area, though I was looking at the St. Regis up in Buckhead.
Capital grille is excellent for the view and is the most romantic in the city imo. There's a new steakhouse in town that's getting really good reviews and looks pretty romantic. Can't remember the name though. Gentleman, Little Alley is opening a buckhead location. Our steakhouse scene was already the best in the south by a wide margin.... I'm interested to see where we'll stack up now in the nation. Don't know what to think about this....The concept will be the same as the Roswell location but will offer two dining experiences: one dining room will be casual and the other formal."
You should look on Atlanta Reddit. Seems like most companies are shady as fuck and you can probably get better advice from a larger audience there.
these guys moved us from Athens to Atlanta 3 years ago and were terrific. zero complaints. http://www.netmoveatlanta.com/
I had a good experience with Next Door Relocators. Also think Mark the Mover did a good job. Bad experience: 2 Men and a Truck. Use Thumbtack.com and get quotes if you have something specific/unique to your move.
I had a good experience with All Star Movers. A former Ole Miss DL from Hawkinsville single handedly picked up a dresser like it was nothing.
Marcel has beef Wellington.... Always wanted to try it. I was thinking about cut or American cut. I'm gonna find a new steakhouse....been to rathbun steak like 5 times....while it's still really good, I want something new.
Make two new trips for both parts of the spectrum. I've always loved Highland Tap, food and drink are great in one of my favorite bar rooms in the city. Then go new school with American Cut.
https://www.opentable.com/r/american-cut-atlanta https://www.opentable.com/cuts If they don't get things turned around, they'll close by the end of the year. Same with cuts. There's a reason bones, hals, and chops will never go anywhere.
Moving to Miami. Lived in Atlanta for just over a year and experienced very little. I know I'm a shithead.
Hals will probably close when their geriatric client base dies and the younger people realize how terrible it is
Atmosphere that makes you cringe. Food is no doubt quality, but Im picking other steak places bc of the atmosphere.
I just don't have the desire to ever go to a nice steak house. Don't get me wrong, I'm not opposed to them one bit and completely understand why people go, it's just not my thing. So many places I'd rather go for date night/special occasion in and around town.
Still haven't had Rathbun, but the last time I went to Marcel was phenomenal. Without a doubt the best steak I've had in Atlanta since moving back 3 years ago.
The time I went it looked like they recruited hostesses from females that frequented the Ivy. Everyone else from the wait staff to the customers were old as fuck.
Yea I've enjoyed it. Think setting/location inflates its' reputation. There's a location in Buckhead that hasn't gotten the same reviews from ppl I know as the one at Krog St. I like it better than our Minero.
