Your taxes likely won't be lowered though. Assuming you are in the $37-$90k range, obviously single, obese, and gay. They would eliminate many deductions too. So lower rate might not matter for you. It's an average static .7% increase in after tax income for all taxpayers(but 5.3% increase for the top 1% earners because MAGA)

Good luck getting any deduction one of this administration tax reform, when they talk about "simplifying" the system that means getting rid of tax credits and deductions that benefit the non 1%. One of the rumored tax deductions likely to go is the mortgage interest deduction, their elimination of child care tax credit is also going to fuck over the middle class as well. You'll pay a lower tax rate but you'll be paying it on a much higher taxable income so I doubt we're going to see an actual tax cut.
