Nate Jackson became a 2X All-American at 174 tonight

Lilly King became arguably the greatest female swimming and diving student-athlete in B1G history today. Won her second straight NCAA title in the 100-meter breaststroke with a NCAA meet record time. She became the first B1G woman swimmer to win NCAA titles in consecutive years. Also the first B1G woman to win 3 individual NCAA titles

her title gives IU a national title winner in four straight years, marking a first for a B1G program

our swim and dive program is getting back to its glory days thanks to the current coaches/kids. Would love to be able to make a big financial contribution towards keeping that staff intact and helping them get whatever facility upgrades they might need (they don't need many because the facilities are world class right now)

I was in Florida on vacation when the news about TC broke, best vacation ever. I haven't had a peegs membership in a couple years, anyone have any insight? I have a couple friends that are pretty tied in down in BTown, they have been hearing all kinds of things. I've heard Alford wants it bad but he isn't the #1 choice and is pissed about that. I've heard we contacted St. Brad of Indiana and he said no. The main rumor emanating is Billy D, and it's almost a done deal. I am worried Glass will fuck this up, but he did shock me firing him.

Also, fuck the Harbaugh family for the ridiculous SI article. Glass was more than behind Tom for 9 years. He had the largest recruiting budget in the B1G (10x larger than Wisconsin). 2nd highest paid coach in B1G, 8th highest paid in country. Goodbye Tommy C.

Good evening, Mr. Glass

I am a 2010 IU graduate and someone who loves following all IU sports programs.

I absolutely love the direction the swimming and diving, track and field, cross country, baseball and the women's basketball programs are heading. I was in Hoover in 2012 when men's soccer won its eighth national championship. That experience ranks right near the top of the list of my favorite memories.

The IU campus is one of the two or three most beautiful in the nation. The student body is one of the most diverse in the nation. Bloomington is about as eclectic and vibrant a college town as you will find across the nation. IU's athletics programs are an important part of the campus and community culture and serve as the front porch for a school that has so many great things going for it. With all that in mind I felt compelled to write you this email.

While news reports circulating around the internet might well be speculation, I feel strongly enough about this subject that I want to make sure I am proactive in my efforts to voice my opinion to you.

Steve Alford's handling of the Pierre Pierce situation at Iowa should forever disqualify him from any consideration for the IU men's basketball head coaching position.

In the press conference where you explained what you are looking for in prospective coaching candidates, you made it clear you will not consider someone with NCAA rules violations to their name. I feel that NCAA rules violations pale in comparison to the blatant disregard Alford showed for Pierce's victim while head coach at Iowa.

It would make no sense to me that he would even be a candidate based on his failure to act ethically at Iowa. IU should be a national leader in the movement to handle Title IX issues with integrity. Simply entertaining the idea of hiring Alford would go against the mission all schools must strive to uphold.

I hope these are things you will take into consideration as you conduct your search for the next head coach of IU men's basketball. You have overseen an era of IU athletics that has seen many incredible accomplishments across a wide array of sport programs. I trust you will do the right thing when it comes time to choose a coach.

They moved Donovan way up, from like 10th to 3rd most likely, and the Miller bros way down.

The IU rivals site has a writer/mod saying Donovan is the first choice. clearly doesn't mean reciprocal interest though, but interesting when you pair all the sites info together.

I'm not sure how I'd feel if Billy D ended up there.

 

Will be telling of Indiana's place as a basketball program if they make a great hire despite having an uninspiring AD.

 

This is the most attractive the job has looked while open since pre-Knight. I'm nervous as fuck.

 

That's not exactly saying a whole lot given the state of the program in the post-Knight era.

Billy Donovan would be a hell of a hire if that happens though.
