Your ability to perceive a slope and assign a grade to it is the larger part of aim point. I think it is a quick way to read greens but more importantly it gives you confidence that you picked a good line and you can just focus on making the putt when you are over the ball.
Yea getting fit for a putter has given me so much more confidence Im aimed properly. Doesn't really count for much though if Im not confident in my line. Even worse when I have no idea. Im hoping doing all this will give me what i need to just work on my speed (which is my biggest issue).
Usually a hard fade. Felt like it was usually from the club head lagging back because of a stiff shaft which I upgraded to x-stiff. Also the occasional hook from coming over the top but that's once every other round, maybe.
It is obviously a very athletic, powerful swing. I just see a little weight shift problem on the backswing that could cause you to jump in front of the ball which would promote a steeper "over the top" move on occasion.
I'm meh on O'Scugnizzos (2nd oldest pizzeria in America), there's another upside-down pizza place that I prefer. Voss' is money, though.
It's incredible people watching. This group of guys yesterday all had vintage Stone Cold Steve Austin shirts.
Checking out all the new golf products at the trade show in Orlando today. Continuing Education the last two days has killed me.
Anyone tried out or know much about these Vice golf balls? http://www.vicegolf.com/us2/ made in Germany and when you buy in bulk they come out to around $25 a dozen. Supposed to be pretty decent from what I'm reading
It generates interest in the game from non traditional fans. I wouldn't want every event to be like that but it is good for the sport.
it added 10 yards on the indoor trackman for me. interestingly i hit the new wilson driver and it yielded my best results.
I am pretty excited for us to get the triton demo in, We got everything for the wilson staff fitting cart except the Triton. The owner of our shop was getting the new Tour Edge driver in sometime this week.
Yea I actually kind of have a love hate relationship with the course. Starting it off with a really difficult par 5 isn't much fun. There's some serious trimming that needs to be done on the back 9 that they can't do bc of some rule about not trimming live oaks over a certain size. 14 might be the worst hole in golf as a result. It's like trying to hit an island green with a driver. Complete round killer
I hit the Epic SZ indoors. Didn't see any significant difference between it and my g ls tec but I think I like the feel better. The G has a "cheap" feel to me at impact and the sound is terrible. Performance is very good though.
Is there a need for golf balls for you guys? I got about 3, 5-gallon bucks full of Bridgestones, Pro-Vs, Nike, etc. Shoe boxes full, too
I think my new irons are finally on the way. I went with the Ping i200 because I am a bitch and was scared of the iBlades even though they are beautiful.
New Callaway muscle backs are gorgeous too. I wish I could just hit some on the range to pure one and see what it feels like.
Question- If you're a 10.5 hcp what do you play at in a cash game? Another question- my rangefinder has the slope feature. Would y'all be pissed if I used it in a cash game?
Played in my shops dog fight today, couldn't pull any damn points. Had 3 birdie attempts skirt the edge. After the rain we had last night range was closed so no warm up outside of some putting. Topped my 2nd swing of the day on the par4 1st hole into the water. I was about 130 out. Was a sign of some breaks to come for me.
Im basically asking if I should play at a 10 or an 11 in a cash game and if I should turn off the slope feature.
Sounds like def yes on the slope feature. Im in a weird zone bc all of the guys I play with are a lot better than me.
Play at an 11 Use Slope Feature Put a hole in your pocket #LifeHack But in all seriousness play at an 11, but no slope feature like others have said.
Hopefully I'll be above an 11 on the next couple of revisions based on my recent play. I'll never make a cent playing at a 10.
