It's so challenging being an Atlanta sports fan. You just cannot have any sort of confidence in a championship yet the Falcons just set the franchise scoring record and tied for the 7th most points scored all-time in the regular season.
I root for all Atlanta teams. We could be up 24 going into the 4th qt of the super bowl and I still won't believe that they will win.
Posted earlier that I'm 0-2 on games attended this year. I'm seriously considering whether I should attend any playoff games.
you aren't ruining my party. If the Washington Racial Slurs could keep the game close with the Cowboys I'm pretty sure the Falcons can stomp that ass.
Skins didn't really keep it close. Dallas and Elliot controlled that whole game. I'm rooting against Dallas, y'all would be underdogs. Their offense would manhandle the Falcons all night.
You fucking moron, we are talking about a hypothetical match up with Dallas. Maybe stick to 1 NFL team thread and you'll be able to keep up.
Regular season pressure is not the same as the playoffs. Dak will fold then Romo will die on the field.
If Romo was starting I'd agree with you, guy is just a loser. It'll be a good game. With their offense style, I don't really see a shoot out. I'm rooting for the falcons. I'll probably be at the Dome outside or at the game if they make it to the nfc championship game. Need to make up for the 2012. That was terrible
Dallas controlled the 1st Q. Skins controlled the 2nd and 3rd and Dallas needed an INT in their own endzone to stop the bleeding in the 1st part of the 4th Q.
The Skins were outscored in the 2nd quarter and no one scored in the 3rd. The Skins were never closer than 5 most of the game. Kirk didn't throw a pick in the last game.
I like our chances as long as we limit the mistakes, we would have won in Seattle without the late INT/Julio drop or red zone fumble. Worried about the Seattle DL though, if they can play like they did in the 1st half last time we are going to struggle to execute. Flip side is our pass rush has developed a lot since that first game and we are going to need something there to limit Seattle. Just excited for more Julio/Sherman battles.
I was going over the last couple of drafts, and I've been pretty happy with the first 3 rounds of every draft since 2013. There are a couple misses, but I've definitely been happy overall. In hindsight, it's tough to be upset with our last 4 first round picks on field results for sure.
After last years class, I'm even more excited to see what we add in this draft. Quinn is fucking awesome. Neal, Jones, Campbell and even Poole who wasn't drafted all starters on D as rookies. Need to add to Jarrett and Hageman on the interior plus another pass rusher or two. Tyson Jackson and Babs going to be back next year?
offense should look similar to 1h of Saints game but doing it for both halves against SEA would be nice
From MMQB latest mock: No. 29 Atlanta Falcons: DeMarcus Walker, DL, Florida State Pairing Walker alongside Vic Beasley would make Dan Quinn very happy. The defensive guru hasn’t been able to match the success he had in Seattle, but adding a player like Walker (with long arms, very active hands and a physical, stout frame) could help. Yes please
Really want to go to the game but have no one to attend with and don't know if I should drop $175+ to go by myself. Any of you have success buying tickets outside the dome or would that be a futile effort given the hype for the game?
Guaranteed to get a ticket. Can probably get it cheaper than that. I had the option through gf's work to get cheap tickets a couple weeks ago but I didn't jump on it.
Oh forgot about them. None of those jobs should be that appealing to him. The Broncos job was by far the best thing out there.
I really thought the Broncos would offer him. Would've been a good fit for them too. McDaniels is the frontrunner in San Fran, with Kyle as the runner-up candidate.
