I just wanna be about to battle my Pokemon against friends directly, battle to rank Pokemon up at gyms and be able to battle my own against eachother at home and rank them up. I don't mind the stardust and candy stuff but an extra game mode would be nice for just playing at home
first Drowzee I caught in the wild was a 1 combination 100% with its best moveset. now if only Hypno was worth a shit. still need about 8 more Drowzees to evolve it but it looks like maybe it at least has good defensive stats so I could post him up in a gym.
I need one oddish to level up a legit one I have. See 2 on my drive to work this morning and I use ultra balls. 2 on the first and vanish and 1 on the second and vanish. I think they have just made it harder to catch Pokemon with this latest update to try and get people to buy more balls
While i agree with the latter and that you can at least function plenty in the game while not paying real money if you dont want to - i do challenge that the game is 'good'. I think it capitalizes on a lot of nostalgia and makes good on at least a fun idea. But so many holes that make it a 'good game'....from function, to the tracking, to logic, to the depth of the game (it's basically catch, evolve, go to gyms.........?) it feels unfinished or very shallow. The fact that I cant do anything with my pokemon other than go to gyms kinda sucks. Even if you just included the basic fundamentals of pokemon and be able to weaken other monsters before trying to catch them. cliffs: it's pokemon bolted onto ingress and not really a 'pokemon built' game, it feels like.
Yeah, I don't disagree. They released an unfinished game because it was July and it wouldn't make sense to release a game that must be played outside in December. I'm confident that the "real" game will be the next expansion or major update. That will probably take place some time in 2017. Only question is whether the game can survive until then.
Yeah about that, Google Play now just has something up telling people to contact Niantic so I don't think that worked out as expected
Just opened my app to check out the newest iPhone update (note: nothing changed). Nidoqueen on my nearby list. RIP.
Doesn't work for me. When I get a notification, it does not stop fucking beeping until I uninstall and reinstall.
Why the are you adamant about defending this shitty company that's known for making terrible shit and not communicating with their community? It's almost like you and GGCD get defensive about it. Niantic is a gigantic piece of shit
It was a dumb comment. When he first posted it I thought it as dumb to expect there to be tons of refunds. I think the complaining is over the top. It's still been fun but not as fun and I'm not happy and hope they fix stuff but want to actually give it a chance to see if it happens
It's just unlikely to happen tbh. Niantic is a cash grabbing company that doesn't give a fuck. That's the way they've been on their other projects. I don't see this one being any different. It's amazing that a company can actually get Japan to hate Pokemon but niantic has managed to do that somehow.
How? Everything they've done in the past is evidence of exactly that. Of course I want them to fix it, but they haven't shown that they're willing to do that on anything ever done.
I'm just not sure why shutting down pokevision is a money grab. If anything if people are able to go get more Pokemon quicker they are much more likely to run out of balls and need to buy more I think it's a dumb move for every single reason. If they are mad about pokevision creators making money off their product why not just give the people who started it 100k (or less than 10% of one day profits assuming they are making more now than at the beginning) and make the add revenue off that site themselves? If they can't make the map and the key work they should use that (which also diverts people off the app and their servers) until they build the game how it was supposed to be built
Which version of the map app are y'all using? I have an old version installed which works but doesn't have the alerts. I also have a new version installed which doesn't work because I can't get a Google Map API to make it work.
It gives me an error every time I try to follow the instructions on the go live app. Is it much simpler than it seems to me?
Yeah I don't know, it worked the first time for me (https://github.com/mchristopher/Pok...oogle-Maps-API:-a-brief-guide-to-your-own-key). Maybe it has to be the same google account as your throwaway-google-pogo login? Maybe you were signed in as your actual pogo login. Just brainstorming out loud.
In all the bitching I haven't seen anyone mention one of my biggest frustrations. No more XP for having a Nice, Great or Excellent throw
its hard to keep up with the things making the game worse. on a happier note...playing Pokemon Yellow for the first time is the bees knees
Curveballs either. I mastered the cuve to offset the post-razz unpredictable curve, and now I don't even get points for it.
Just ate lunch at a spot that happened to be a pokemon gym. So of course I take the gym and go about eating my meal. A European-looking woman in her mid-50's walks up next to me. She's holding a battery pack and vaping. And this woman just starts tapping her phone furiously, taking my fucking gym! Whaaaaat is going on!!! So she takes down the gym and walks off without saying a word. I go to take back the gym only to find that her username is "WipeMyBum".
Just finished watching a glitchless speed run of Yellow, as far as I know the current world record. Took less than 2 hours.
Keep us updated. I'll be interested to hear about it, especially since you've never played I haven't played my Blue save in a week or so but probably will do some Elite Four runs with my team of: Mewtwo, Articuno, Zapdos, Flareon, Blastoise and just throw in a low Pokemon I don't have the evolved version of to power them up. Those 5 have gotten strong enough I can use a weak Pokemon to start then swap out and they can take hits (Lance and his dragons can be tough to do that with though)
My son and I were driving home from a buddy's house last night and he said someone had said they found a rare Pokemon at X location. He has some app or website where people can tag areas where they find Pokemon and someone had tagged a section of town in Little Rock. So he wants to go by there on the way home. Sure, we'll drive by. So he's directing me vua his GPS and I'm getting more and more concerned. It's a part of town I'd never been to before and I wasn't familiar with it. Eventually he tells me to turn down a street that, I shit you not, has no streetlights and looks like the beginning of a bad horror movie. I veto that shit and we get back on the main road and get home. I'm like 90% sure someone had tagged that area in the hopes that some nerds would drive up and get robbed or something.
i bought X just to check out what new pokemon is like (yeah i know sun/moon comes out soon). i'm enjoying it so far but man they've added a ton of shit to these games where i feel completely lost.
thats why i started on Yellow instead of going with X/Y or waiting for Sun/Moon. I wanted to feel like I could at least understand it on a more basic level instead of throwing right into the 700+ monsters....even though i am obviously sacrificing graphics, features, audio, etc etc
just started playing pokemon gold on an emulator for the first time. First pokemon game since pokemon red.
i started up yellow partially because i heard you can get all the starters throughout it of red/blue and later transfer them in the pokemon bank, which i plan on doing at some point. ive played fire red some many times now though that i've got the base systems down pat, so i was looking for a step forward. between berry farming, breeding, IV, EV, shiny, mega evolutions, etc. i don't have a clue what's going on. it's a cool game though so far. some of the pokemon in these later versions are beyond stupid however.
Precisely. He certainly knew what he was doing. He didn't have any pants on though and vaped the whole time.
Yea I've updated. Def still getting 10 xp for curveballs. Can't confirm nice or great throws though bc every time I've had one since paying attention the damn Pokemon has broken out.
I can confirm I definitely have not been getting XP for Nice/Great/Excellent throws. Have caught with all 3 and no bonus XP
use the server key, not the other one. on your My Projects site, go to Credentials -> Create Credentials -> pick the Server Key option
