Anfield HQ @AnfieldHQ Marc-André Ter Stegen has received huge offers from both #LFC and #MCFC. (Sport)
Money talks, but he's unhappy at Barca because he currently isn't the nailed on #1 starter. Would he move to another team with an entrenched #1?
Gotze/Hector/Zielinski all sounds like they will happen. Still need a GK and another CB. I'd like another pacey wide man as well. Bellerabi is a guy I hope we look at.
This is the pacey wide player I want (supposedly we've been scouting him) http://www.transfermarkt.com/ousmane-dembele/profil/spieler/288230#ath
I'm tired of buying fucking young players even though I have read that guy is a beast. I want players that are gonna for sure improve the 1st team.
I get the sentiment but that's how Klopp built Dortmund. We need to find players the year before they become stars. Like people were talking about getting Firmino a year before we did. Had we gone for him when we got Lallana instead we could have had him for half of what we actually paid. Dembele is 18 and has 10 goals and 5 assists in 1300 minutes this year in France. If he plays 3000 minutes next year and puts up 20 and 10, he'll be on his way to Bayern or some other huge club.
Yeah at this point every main news source in England + Bild in Germany is reporting. Seems likely but who knows.
We've been linked with half of this team. Ter Stegen, Hector, Hummels, Gotze, Leno, Trapp, Tah, Volland.
Pierce Sloan @PierceSloan 5m5 minutes ago @AnfieldIndex Martin Skrtel - 90 mins for U21s, 45 mins vs S'ton, 33 mins vs Ireland. 8 goals conceded, a red card and given away 2 penos
We obviously aren't gonna get a more talented player than Gotze and I want him badly but I'd argue Hector would be a more important get. We have got to get better defensively if we want to be contenders.
I think fullback is the least important position on the field. We got 2nd with Ally Cissokho and Glen Johnson playing most of the games at fullback. I'd like to get Hector but to get better defensively I'd prioritize 1) keeper 2) center back 3) defensive mid. edit: I agree we should be trying to get better defensively first
Id agree with that. I was speaking more towards getting another #10.... Regardless of how world class he is. I don't know what we do with Firmino if we got Gotze. I'd like to find out though...
Looking at Germany's keeper options is absurd. I think they have 7 that would walk into the Liverpool starting spot (Neuer, Ter Stegen, Trapp, Leno, Horn, Karius, Weidenfeller).
I couldn't agree more and its my biggest apprehension. I think I said earlier if we're going to drop around 20 mil on a player, get Ter Stegen. Gotze played all over for Dortmund and is such a talent it'd be wonderful to get him, but he's best in the middle and that's probably the last position LFC need.
Why not both? Sell a bunch, buy a bunch. I am willing to be patient, if there is a clear plan and move on high level talent quickly. Other players will get the message that LFC and Klopp are serious about being contenders.
Anfield HQ @AnfieldHQ 2h2 hours ago A move to China is a serious possibility for Mario Balotelli with clubs having already enquired about securing him. #lfc (James Pearce)
Balotelli is one of the biggest wastes of talent I think I've ever seen in any sport. I remember watching him destroy Germany in the 2012 Euro semi's. He's now scored 7 goals in 44 games the last 2 years.
This Is Anfield @thisisanfield 3m3 minutes ago Liverpool's head of fitness and conditioning, Ryland Morgans, has today left the club. Andy O’Boyle will take over for the rest of 2015/16.
Everyones comments make it seem like it was Ryland's decision to leave. Interesting to see if Klopp forced the move.
