Last 3 possessions of the half we go with the burn offense and let Farrell take it twice off the ball screen and a Jackson-Vasturia-Jackson pass scenario with 5 seconds left on the shot clock. Terrible. Hopefully we keep up the trend of great second half play in this tourney

Great run. Exceeded my expectations for this year by a mile. No complaints, they played tough. DJ and VJ were men out there.
Excited for next year. Think Vasturia and Colson just got worn down the last third of the season and hopefully they avoid that next year. VJ looks like he has the potential to make a superstar leap next year. Building around those three, Ryan/Pfleuger, and a good recruiting class, and we should be decent with/without DJ or Maker. If DJ comes back or Maker actually hits, they may be really good. They're just gonna get destroyed down low, though, unless Ryan becomes a beast rebounder or we get a total surprise in Geben/Mooney/Torres contributing.
If Mooney comes in and can adjust quickly, he could be very good in our offense in the pick and roll. He's skilled to where he can finish inside or pick and pop
Yeah my buddy and I were texting back and forth tonight about next season and he's convinced Mooney and Colson will be the starting big men next year. I think Ryan will get the start as the stretch 4 and Brey will just pray we don't get destroyed too much down low, but he thinks Mooney is the total package. Wasn't thinking he'd get much PT at all next year, but we'll see.
Another kid I think we've got a legit shot at is 5* center Jarrett Allen He's introverted and very serious about his academics, and also isn't projected to be a one and done type. Visited for the Texas football game
I'd rather get Allen, he's a post where as maker is a skilled, long/skinny 4 who won't be physical presence Auguete brought. Think Ryan plays stretch 4 or Pleuger plays 2 and Beachem is asked to guard 4s somewhat like last night. Regardless if we have stretch 4 and 6'5 center we will get hammered inside every game. I know Brey isn't a borrow a kid for a year type program but maybe a year to find a C if we miss on Maker/Allen

Did I miss something? I thought DJ was tentatively declaring for the draft without representation, with the chance of coming back after the combine. This makes it sound like he's just plain gone.
