6 or 6p? I have wrapped my last couple phones in this http://www.spigen.com/products/nexus-6-case-thin-fit?variant=1179590793
Nexus 6p fine sir. If not skip the Note and maybe wait until the LG G5 or a Moto X (2016) whenever that may be.
Moto is dead to us here, don't wait for that. Also at the end of this week it will have been 4 years since OP was updated.
Anybody use Amazon Prime from their phone to TV? I don't see the Chromecast button, is there a way to do this?
Amazon won't allow it because they want you to buy a Fire Stick. Same reason why you can't buy a Chromecast from Amazon.
I have several Chromecasts and a fire stick. Fire stick never even gets touched. Used it for 2-3 weeks and bought a Chromecast to replace it with.
I have several of both either and I feel like the chromecast is useless. The casting is such an unnecessary step
I love the Firestick I have. I didn't really consider getting a Chromecast so I don't really know much about it.
I'm the opposite. Have both and hate having to deal with the firestick UI. Also find the chromecast performs smoother with less glitches and bugs.
So it appears it's finally time I get a new phone. Dropped my phone tonight and the screen no longer works. What's the best android phone right now? I'm coming from a gs4 fyi
Love my Note 5. Kinda annoyed i was so used to expandable memory and OLED screen tapping. But whateves. invested in a Rhino Shield bumper and screen protector http://www.evolutivelabs.com/
So I'm in a bit of a bind. I'm leaving for a conference tomorrow so I would like to get a phone today and can't get a 6p until Friday. I played around with the note 5 today for a couple minutes. You seem happy with it overall? What's everyone else's thoughts?
I had a note 5 before the 6p. It's not a horrible phone but I've used Nexus' the past few years and just couldn't do touchwiz again. I can't say enough how much touchwiz is a crappy ui. However if you aren't someone is a purist that gets frustrated with the manufacture skins on top of Android then you'll probably be okay.
Chroma. I wanted to be able to use the volume buttons as skip forward and back on the side. That and fake my gps to tinder/hinge/bumble in other cities as preplanning for my interviews.
The biggest reason I do it is when I scrub into surgeries I'll have my phone to a bluetooth speaker and I put my phone in my scrub breast pocket. I can feel the buttons through my gown and change tracks with the volume rocker and adjust volume while staying sterile and not contaminating myself.
Granted i didn't put a lot of work into it but I couldn't get i to work on non-root marshmellow with bumble.
Yea, when I'm at the gym I could just reach into my shorts and change tracks instead of getting the phone all the way out and having to interact with it.
so none of the verizon stores had a 64 note 5 available for me to purchase now. ended up getting a nexus 6p through best buy that i will pick up while i'm down here. looking forward to checking out this phone.
any project fi discussion in here? anyone used it? signed up for an invite when i was looking at the 6p and i'm just wondering if anyone has any experience with it.
A bit somewhere in the last few pages. I switched from Verizon. Fi's coverage certainly isn't as good as Verizon's, but it's better than Sprint or TMobile separately, of course. My only complaint is that it might switch between Sprint/TMobile/Wifi a little *too* often. Sometimes I open apps and get a no data message and have to wait a couple of seconds for it to be back. Overall, I'm really happy. Work pays for my cell phone so I could have just stayed with Big Red, but I like being an early adopter. For individual plans I'd highly recommend it. My actual bill was only $48 last month instead of $100+ with Verizon.
south bend has the best sprint coverage in the country, so i feel like it would be perfect for when i'm here. i do worry about when i travel though. i'm glad that you like it overall
I have Project Fi on my backup phone for use when travelling (taking more pictures, more time away from a charger, broader coverage, cheaper than sprint abroad, etc). I really like that I can pause it and upause it. Probably not much use for your daily driver, but its a cool feature.
is there any way to get the google protection plan after purchasing the 6p? i think i still have insurance through verizon, but since it's not a verizon phone, i read that they wouldn't be able to provide a 6p as a replacement. ps i love the phone. still just really setting it up (it's been 3 years since i got a new phone, i forgot what a pain it could be)
